All that time spent working at a mindless job, videoGAYming, watching Television and even meditating wastes all your time that could've been spent mastering a craft, a trade or a self employed job! So yes the videogames wasted every youths time, money and resources for a fart in the wind (((Achievement))). They're better things to do.

I actually have a drawing addiction because I developed a bad habit of procrastination when I entered university for engineering. Drawing makes my problems go away for only a little, much like what cocaine does to people.

I was addicted to vidya until 16, when I just quit cold turkey one day. Unfortunately I found new time sinks after that - /pol/ and youtube. In my mid-twenties I became much more conscientious though. Can't get addicted to vidya/youtube because it's all shit now, and I don't often post on 4chan either. I'm finally free to get gud.

Cutting back on vidya would help me immensely. Hell media consumption in general is pretty time wasting.
Still there are many games I would like to complete at least once in my life.
Funny how it was vidya that made me grow a desire to learn to draw.

Don't agree wholly with this pic. there is a lot of shitposts on 4chan, but you can find genuinely good information on where to look or start at something. how many of us would just had pick up some how to draw manga/comic book and be stuck at symbol drawing devaintart-tier level, if it wasn't for the /beg/ threads pointing us towards good concepts to know and books? Outside of this, 4chan probably just a less shittier version of reddit. You are better off just commiting your time fully to a hobby.

Unlike the other sour grapes anons, I actually have good vidya to play. Even some newer releases, like Pizza Tower, which is a great game.
However even I have fallen off playing vidya for the most part, but that's because I've been trying to better myself some. I've also been doing better mentally and physically, and don't find myself needing a constant stream of dopamine from playing vidya or binging videos on YouTube. I'll still play them and enjoy them though.
I don't bother with console garbage, unless I can emulate it of course.

The only games I’d ever been addicted to were RuneScape and Minecraft. So I don’t allow myself to touch those games anymore and I have no problem. All other games I’ve managed to play to completion or stop playing a few hours in and never touch again. Not big on multiplayer cause I’m not very competitive with video games so the drive isn’t there to try and be good so I stay bad.
