What's are best IP to make fan arts of that can make me popular enough.

>inb4 vtuber's mobage, and pokemon
Too popular. I would just get flooded. I just want a niche that's small enough to stand out on but still big enough to make a name for myself

i think there are ways to find out

as a niche, fear and hunger will probably get pretty popular in like a couple weeks from now, and has very nice designs to fanart

>> No.6679399

Probably retro stuff. You would fit right in. They don't know the source material either.
You won't enjoy drawing fanart of random characters that you never heard of.
Draw what you want to see.

Anything anime related, Bocchi the Rock for example. The minute the show came out, bandwagon vermin immedietly released fan art of it and instantly got popular. Even /k/ is going crazy over this marichka character artists made on there a while ago. Just make fan art over anything that gets popular.

It depends on what you are into. Be enthusiastic and knowledgeable on the subject, and be willing to engage others in exchange of ideas, "find your people". The way you are picking arbitrary subject is fickle and unreliable, it's better to be authentic, but you are probably an asshole, so maybe not

I know you said no vtubers but its not hard to become know on a vtuber community. In fact its not uncommon for them to outright commission shit from artists they know or for them to use your stuff for thumbnails (free advertisement), you just need to be good at drawing, find a popular but not super popular one and be somewhat good at networking

>how the fuck can i make fanart of csgo
very easily. anything funny or sexy enough will gain traction. for example draw T team as hot chicks in bikiny and CT team as incels or thot patrol
check this out, casual 119 millions of views

or pick any other game. majority of games get little to no fanart while having very big base of fans.

My ultimate goal is to make my own OCs

But I just want to draw fan art for now to have experience and build a fanbase. The problem is I have no franchise that I can be autistic about

But I've been playing Stardew and the fanbase seem active with little competition. Let's see if I can gain some audience here

>> No.6679556

Things you like. Have you tried drawing art of things you like? Start with things you like.

Easier said than done lol
I am the type who sees IPs as just disposable entertainment for taking a break.

Never felt the desire to be part of the community and contribute to it but I do know the long-term benefits of building a career out of existing IPs

Just trying to figure out where my time would be best spent before I proceed to make my own stuff

Stick with popular trend. Niche fanbases/fetishes already adapted to AI and they absolutely love it. Any /beg/ join the space will be mocked to no end

just so you know, the people who follow you for fanart follow you for fanart. you will get some who care about your personal work but a majority will just ignore it.

Keep that in mind so you can actually consistently sprinkle your content in between fanart rather than just drawing a bunch of fanart and expecting people to give a shit about something completely new and unrelated.

>> No.6680026

>>6679995
Eh, not really
If your art is good, people would follow you regardless of the theme of your art
Latching on a community just ensures that you can maximize exposure as much as possible
