I don't think a store would hire me. I spent two years in a trade school under the security field, so I can only do security jobs. However, since I am such a massive autist, even from those I can only really do night shift where I don't talk to anyone.

I started at 28. Currently 33 and landed me a few animation jobs from time to time. Even though I only do furry shit, I get hired onto non-furry related work. Others will see you can draw will and fit the style you need and go from there. Just be aware of your errors, check your inspirations, and get feedback from everyone. Some of my best advice came from non-artists and people on this board versus actual professional artists in the field. As long as you understand what you need to work on, you'll find ways to improve (of course, that's easier said than done).

I like the concept and pose, but work on your lines and anatomy before worrying about color and light.
First, torso and limb proportions are crucial. Unless your focus has genuine dwarfism (I guess Animal crossing characters do, but it doesn't look like you're going for the chibi bean style of the game) either her legs should long or her torso should be shorter
Bellybutton is way too high up, it should down to about where her left hand pinky should be. Navel is also a little too far to her left
Ass and spine are too flat, they should have more curvature
Arms are too skinny, judging by belly you aren't trying to draw a skelly
Snout isn't bad but perspective feels a little off
Lastly her eyes are too high up, eyes should be about the middle of the skull and in this they're 3/5s the way up.
I will say those are some nice hands, that's usually the first thing beginners mess up but they're pretty good

Yea, the ability in the new zelda game called Recall basically returns whatever object was moving back into it's original spot. So here, it's used on her egg and, yeah...

Hard to say, I think motivation is the key factor. Some artists like Eric Schwartz can be happy drawing more or less the exact same thing for 30+ years. Me, I don't draw often enough but when I do I like to push myself some way. Doing requests or goofy OC for recurring discussion threads for your favorite board can be fun, and since it's anonymous if your experiment doesn't go well there's basically zero shame involved

While I prefer realistic heads, for the body I prefer a just human body with fur and a tail. I prefer plantigrade feet, because while digitigrade feet look cooler, footwear looks stupid on them, and I often draw character wearing military boots.
As for other species, I am a mammalian purist, sorry ): (I have seen some anthro snakes that have no legs but arms, I think there were some in X-COM)

ye, you should consider putting more skill points into faith, because you will goddamn need it to get hired with those proportions.

Also on less shit-posty note, try to find lines where alit colors break into shadows and blend those lines/ make shadows more defined.

Shadows shouldn't just be small plops of slightly darker colors because that's never gonna look good.

also remember the basic bitch rule of shading

COLOR is shaded by making it darker and more other COLOR

Red > shaded by > Blue
Blue > shaded by > Green
Green > shaded by > Red

I think the thin scratchy lineart also could be better, maybe learn what areas to forgo the lineart for rendering, like around her tail the bow with soft shading and just black lines in the middle doesn't look good, might look better with just blocked out gray shapes for the folds and not lineart

Weird question but thought people here might be able to point me in the right direction, I have a commission to draw a comic of gay furry porn with anthros with humanoid dicks. Commissioner wants the dicks to be as realistically painted as possible, but some of the scenes are at weird angles. I've drawn dicks before no problem but not rendered quite to the standard the client wants.


Anyone know a good website for super high quality dick pictures at weird angles that aren't in someone's ass/vagina/whatever? I usually use the pornpics website for reference for pussy and breasts at weird angles, but it's hard finding pictures on there of dicks that aren't "in use" and I'm not gay so don't know of any websites that would have super high quality photos (search engines aren't giving me anything good).

Dumb question, but how do you improve on sketches? Is it just a matter of gesturing in the render? Or timing yourself a good 5-10 minutes to see how fast you can complete a drawing? The level is good enough I would just work on the movement between panels. It's a bit stiff and lack some flow but the art is certainly good enough. I like how you went for multiple different angles to keep it interesting.
