Sup /ic/! I draw with MS Paint and mouse only. I wanna show you my drawings and plots, and you will rate.

There is Eveline from RE7 but in Naruto universe. I like to combine dissimilar things. What if the Uchiha massacre had not happened?

Evelina passed the final exams of the ninja academy ahead of schedule and poses for a commemorative photo. She had just frolicked in the surf, and then tried to dry herself with the element of lightning. Therefore, her sandals are unbuttoned, and her hair is tousled.

Compositions are nice but the anatomy is stiff and disproportionate. Some of the repeating elements and designs could use more shape design as in (small, medium and large shapes). You keep doing this thing where you repeat the same thickness and relative size for similar objects right next to each other (like the flowers) when you should varying the sizes a lot more. Same for your hair, costume design details, etc.
Go get a tablet and practice more shape design and figure drawing.

I thought about making flowers of different sizes, but it turned out that they do not bloom like that. In the picture with Adam and Eve, I quite successfully used eyes of different sizes. I don't need a tablet as I draw pixel by pixel, not lines or strokes.

What would you correct in anatomy? I often have to find a compromise between reality, style and arithmetic. If it's possible to do it right, but it won't look pretty, I'll choose the wrong one.

Also, I can't just vary the thickness of the outlines. Most likely, there will be 1-3 well-defined stroke thicknesses in the drawing, otherwise it will be complete chaos and anarchy, lol. Alas, I need a mathematical justification for the details in my drawings, I do not add them just like that.

Thank you for reply!

I don't strive for realism at all, in fact, I really like it when faces, bodies and limbs look a bit alien. Note that for the twins, I needed the same hands both on the instruments and on each other's wrists. There was no other way to check it out. Yes, and the style of drawing limbs on the icons as a whole can hardly be called trivial.

Thank you for reply!

I would make the guy holding the dog actually have real hands but just shaded with hard edges like you did with the face. Your biggest weakness appears to be legs and hands, where you draw them unnaturally straight which goes against the natural "S" curve they should have.

Her fingers and hand are a bit thick and big for a woman, and lack any sense of structure. The arm forearm on the table looks too long because you didnt draw any bump for where her wrist is, and is awkwardly leading my eye outside the picture into a corner.
You also have this problem with tangents where you place elements way too close or right in line with things awkwardly like with the tail of the dog in this one

Yes, many have told me about the dissonance between the hands and face of the priest. This is quite an old work, she is about 3 years old.

I love the combination of cartoon and realism. It's like a whole new reality, with perfect shapes, but such familiar textures.

Almost everyone in this thread will pay attention to how I draw limbs. It `s very unusual. I would say that arms and legs are my strength! The arms and legs don't have to be realistic. In no case should they be natural! They must be expressive. They should be the same mathematical part of the composition.

The woman's hand with the tea should go straight beyond the canvas, and I don't care if the natural hand looks different. I know because I have a mirror. But I have no purpose to copy the mirror. Everyone understood perfectly well that this is a hand, but calm lines are needed for this composition.

I draw compositions of geometric shapes into which I add people and environments. I don't have a problem with tangents, I deliberately touch the edges of the canvas with the details of the drawing. The result may look strange, but I really try all the options for placing details and choose the one that seems to me the most beautiful.

MS Paint has all the tools I need, seriously. I can vouch for every pixel of my drawing, its RGB hex mask, and its position relative to the edges of the drawing or surrounding details. Sounds crazy, but in Evelina's drawing, most of the distances are divisible by 3. I don't need render and blur. I'm literally painting one pixel at a time.

Not that I'm justified. I want to convey to you why I draw in this way, why I choose these forms. It's geometrically beautiful. I do not deny that I am sick in the head and see what is not accepted to see. But people with my national mentality definitely see it. Usually they pay attention to the plots, and not to how the arms and legs are drawn.

The classically trained people I approached usually offered advice on composition and color. It happens that I build objects on the same line, I overload some part of the drawing with details, or I cannot separate the front from the back with color. Everyone knows perfectly well that living people are different from those drawn by me. But this is the whole point.

If thats the case and if you can replicate reality but enjoy cartooning, why not just use the knowledge of realism to aid your cartooning?
>fine with tangents, dont care about realism, really try all the options for placing details
I think personally thats why Photoshop would be good, as layers and the ability to non destructively make edits to your work would greatly aid you in your designing process. I know you can technically do it MSpaint already, but it never hurts to try new tools.
I can understand not wanting to replicate reality once you're able to do it, but respecting reality can be a good thing also. Both of those I'm more or less OK with as clearly it seems like you have your own vision and methods which is alright though.
You talk about beauty and design, but I still think that you can go for much more pleasing arrangments in terms of your composition. If you removed even just 4-5 of the tangents in that dog and priest picture, or the Uchiha one, it would be a significantly more pleasing image.

are your strongest work in that regard. The doll girl is probably the strongest as it already has a very obvious story to it, plus lots of textural, value and pattern contrasts to it which make the image more interesting all while avoiding tangents (mostly). There's still the one by the ring finger and her leg, as well as the needle near the edge of the canvas, but clearly you're unconciously moving towards pictures that avoids the tangents i mentioned. I think its important since your work is entirely about the design and style, so those elements have to be very strong to make up for the lack of render or effects.

MS Paint has a non-destructive layer editing feature. As layers I have separate files that I overlay with a transparent background color.

I draw pixel by pixel, adjusting the color and location of each pixel (if it's not a chaotic texture), but I have all the details of the drawing in different files: the palm is in one, the girl is in another, the background is in a third, and so on. Sometimes the number of these files reaches several dozen, but I have no difficulty switching between them.

Seriously, what else can PS do for me that MS Paint can't do? Sometimes I process photos in PS, but I like to draw in a tiny and simple program, the equivalent of which I can write in C # in a couple of hours. My tool is always with me and I can draw wherever there is a computer.

What touches would you remove from the Uchiha drawing? People with artistic education suggested moving the wave to the right so that it would not be half hidden behind the girl's body. I tried it, and I didn't like this option.

Now I would also arrange the objects in the picture with the priest differently, deliberately pressing them to the edges of the canvas so that the art looks quite painful. The drawing with the doll is about the same age as the picture with the priest. Here you can see that at that time I didn’t worry about stuffing absolutely all the details around the edges. But the worst thing is that I didn't really care about the background. The picture with the quarrel between mother and daughter is one of the oldest. Newer works are at the beginning of the thread, and in them I tend to experiment more with touch.

Thank you for reply!

Best thread! Very cool anon! Maybe I'm biased by my pixel liking, but to me this is great art. I love the text as well, as engaging as the pics.
About the critiques, they don't understand wat's going on here. You obviously don't need "anatomy" advice, or "taste/appeal" advice. You do this with intent and total self awareness. they are barking at the wrong tree.

If I have to "critique" I would repeat just one listed before, the use of "pixel spray" texture, I would greatly prefer any other oprtion even just flat color. But that was just in a couple of pics so it doesn't even matter. I like the overall idea of what you do.
About "advice", again, I would recomend a more updated software. I just did pic related in 10 minutes using Krita (wich is totally free). I'm a total amateur, so I tremble at the idea of an artist like you taking advantage of some of these tools, like the mirror tool, or having a couple of pixel brush, one normal, the other dither, and using layers, you could make miracles and masterpieces in hours. You can even record the process in krita and save it as a short video.

So, Good work anon and thanks for sharing

Wow, thanks anon! I'm so glad you heard and understood me. It seems obvious to me that the modified arms and legs are not made that way out of ignorance of anatomy. I'm a little surprised by the lack of acceptance here. I've had a few live shows and no one has ever commented on the arms and legs unless they suggested other styling options. I'm also glad that you liked the plots, because the first thing people ask me is the plots of my art. Everyone is hellishly interested in the origins of these stories. But I already chalked it up to the difference in mentalities, lol. Some of my stories seem to have nothing to do with your cultural background.

No, sometimes I gladly accept criticism of anatomy. So it was in the Uchiha drawing, where I turned the knee joint to the side, and the foot looked at the viewer. It was a very gross mistake, and I was glad that the audience paid attention to it so that I could correct it.

Okay, I'll think about dither as textures instead of chaos. In MS Paint, you can also emulate different brushes by dragging the drawn print in stamp mode. But I'm not likely to use dither as shadows, as you did with your nice example. I tried it on a couple of pictures and didn't like it at all.

Thank you for reply!

Got inspired to do one more of these and bump your thread. But also wanted to tackle that cultural matter, yes I can tell you have some education, and it is obvious you're from eastern europe, I know you people have a different education and it shows. We westerners have our head wraped in plastic full of media--hollyweird crap. We're mentally crippled from the craddle.

I am in awe of the fact that you bring up such interesting topics!

I would not say that the reason lies in the classical school or university education. I just read a lot and am extremely attentive to the real life around me. You see, if you take some interesting photo of a unique life moment, then an outside viewer will still not understand it without your explanation.

Maybe you saw the photo of the victim that the serial killer took right before he tortured this girl to death. It's just a scared girl in a dress. Only the history of this photo will make the viewer take a closer look at the image.

Reality is never clear and unambiguous. If you give the viewer the opportunity to think out what is happening, he will be completely delighted, I guarantee it!

Now let's get back to what I read in order to better understand the symbols and the collective unconscious, which I appeal to in my art. Naturally, there will be a lot of esotericism here. And this esotericism does not come from Eastern Europe at all (it came here later). So it's available to you too.

As I said, I am attracted to the shocking meaning hidden behind something ordinary, like a photo of a frightened girl in a dress. Biographies of serial killers are best suited here. In one of our cities, a family of real cannibals ate 80 people while living in an apartment building through the wall from dozens of ordinary people. Here is the shock content behind the external routine.

>> No.6631424

>>6631395

But it's not just the bloody brutality that attracts me. I know the history of my native places well. Can you say the same about yourself? My countrymen have a cult of our history, and with my drawings I can easily send a ping to this knowledge of most of my viewers. We remember Soviet mosaics dedicated to cosmonauts. We know many fairy tales, including those of small nationalities. We know the history of our mountains and mines, ancient fortresses and the latest high-rise buildings. This is useful to know.

My source of inspiration is the centuries-old reality around me. Just present it in a new way, rethink, present the characters of past eras in new scenery or vice versa.

I can also pay attention to how interesting the snow falls on the branches of trees or how the light of a lantern colors the foliage in the evening. I draw rarely and slowly, allowing all this knowledge to accumulate inside me.

There are a lot of interesting things in the West too (sorry Captain Obvious, lol). I recently learned that there is a city in America where coal mines have been burning underground for a whole bunch of years. The road passing through this place is covered with cracks, from which suffocating smoke comes out. Isn't that the purest source of inspiration?

LMAO. I recommend to get acquainted with the books of Milorad Pavic. You can never play like that with words and meanings. And AI can't do that yet. C'mon, in order to play with meanings, you need to know all possible meanings. I don't know English and I use a translator (I hope this reads well), but I worked as a fiction editor in my native language for several years. It's hard for me to understand artists who delete their blogs. That being said, I can understand deleting drawings. But the texts... Apparently, not everyone pays enough attention to what has been said.

I don't know how old my interlocutors from this thread are (I'm 25 yo). But in our culture, age does not give the right not to know something like that. After all, even very young children can read.

Well damn, I hope this helps. It's a very basic explanation of a VERY BASIC method. The issue is to explain the tuning of the tools options from the bucket filler and the similar selection tool, so they work for pixel without anti-aliasing. Then of course, if you're going to upscale anything chose nearest neighbor in the scale tool options, but it's not recomended resizing what you did. Choose a size and staying with it, it's the best option.
I dunno what else, the problem, honestly, it's the fact that you will tweak this method beyond recognition LOL, that's what I do, I start adding layers, for new colors and things, and all of a sudden it's all a mess of layers. I'm trying to think what else could be important but, you'll figure it out. Good luck anon.

Try to find out the underground history of your homeland. Maybe you have some abandoned buildings? Maybe there were some notable accidents? Look at the blogs of those who wrote about it.

You paint mysterious statues. The first one looked like something Polynesian. You can also study the Polynesian culture and make your drawing more realistic - not with some stupid arms and legs, but with small details that will resonate among those who know at least something about such statues.

If it's a tropical statue, what the hell is an apparently European wizard doing there? If you change it to something like voodoo, you will be surprised at how much the overall impression of the drawing will change.

Well, if it's "damn, just a statue, I don't care, dude", then I can't help you in any way :D

When I painted Eveline, I took the background from traditional Japanese prints. I hope you recognize The Great Wave off Kanagawa. I also read a lot about Asian typography so I wouldn't go wrong with the 'Graduation' print. In general, I read a lot about graduations in Japan and about the time of plum, peach and sakura blossoms. And so with the vast majority of drawings. I can explain any detail in my drawings. Maybe it will be useful for you too? After all, nothing in life just happens.

Yes, I get kicked out of pixel threads, saying my art is vector art. In a sense, this is true. I draw curves in arithmetic progressions. For example, a good curve would look like a pixel staircase with steps 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 4, 5, 6, 9 pixels long. Or like 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 2, 3, 3, 3, 3, 4, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8, 10. Each case is unique, but the sequence must be found. And I can count them in months.

I already said that I have a video of the drawing process.

Nonono, after 10, no other curve should start. There should be a long straight line dividing by 3. 18, 24 or 30 works well. Then you can attach a second curve.

Yes, that's how I draw, seriously. I also use step sequences like 1-2, I can make step steps quadratic or add 3 each time. There are a lot of such sequences, but without them my drawings will not be so neat. You can open Eveline's drawing, zoom in and understand that I'm really sick in the head :D

No dude, a couple anons were pointing out very valid crits about your compositions having tangents and having weird textures but you kept making excuses for it. That, coupled with the fact that you seem to obsessively calculate all your art with numbers of pixels long is way past autism at that point. Even professional pixel artists or graphic designers dont do this, they just treat it as another medium instead of a mathematical equation/sequence for every single thing.

>> No.6631748

BWHAHAHAHHHAAAAA!!! Holy crap, lmao!

I was good at math. Have you noticed that some of my drawings contain cryptographic puzzles? The substitution cipher is easy, okay, but what about the cipher pad? What if I told you that my subscribers are successfully solving all this shit, and even in a matter of hours? And they are in no way related to cryptography.

I also often use geometry in my drawings to evenly distribute objects along curves. I also sometimes use Bresenham curves. A friend of mine who is a programmer for my Bresenham Coordinate Rounding Algorithms wrote a little utility that draws perfect circles, ellipses and lines for me at any angle.

If you align the curve with one movement of the cursor on the eye, and then bring it closer, you will see ugly steps there like 3-3-2-4-3-5-4-4-6-8-7-7-7-9-9 -10-9-12 (for example). Obviously there is no system here. It won't work for a cleaner. And in 3-3-3-4-4-4-5-5-5-6-6-7-7-8-8-9-10-11(12) there is a system. I may sound very unusual, but my drawings also stand out. And this is the main thing for the artist.

>> No.6631765

>>6631733

These guys just saw what they were forbidden to do in some tutorials. I'm not going to draw by the rules if it's ugly. I'm already tired of saying that when drawing, I move objects in different ways and choose the most beautiful option. I could be wrong in the old drawings, but in the new ones the lesser evil is chosen. You criticize the trees and stubbornly ignore the forest.

One of my favorite artists is Yuri Bolsa. He is a recognized master. I am speechless at the sight of this painting of his (Disappointment in God). But I'm afraid that all you will say here is that the arms and legs are anatomically incorrect and that the composition is empty.

This is the problem of these artists, that they are not concerned about every pixel of their work. Even the chaotic stars in my new drawings are displayed in a certain order. It's not my fault that the arithmetically correct pixel ladder is smoother than the chaotic one.

You're just as capable of entirely realistic and accurate portrayals as you are at a great range of stylization. Very evocative of clip art from the Windows 98 era in its mood and the exacting nature of the placement of elements and pixels. Despite how exact everything feels your work also simultaneously feels very deft and flowing. Your ability to capture likenesses accurately with your minimalistic, graphical strokes and shapes is also very good.
I will say that I actually really like the usage of the spraypaint tool as a means of shading and texturing, though. Your art already leans very heavily on the purely digital and very retro feel of MS Paint, so I think that just adds to the aesthetic.

>>6632502
About how your art will be received in western platforms, we can't say. Our webs are over flooded with stuff, it's hard for any kind of art (good, bad or whatever) to stand up anymore. You'll have to keep your head cool, and take it easy, talentless restless people will try their best to hurt you, and others will just disregard your art. But you know you have something special here, just be there for the ones that support you. Don't mess with political stuff either, silence and neutrality is your best friend in the west.
Keep at it OP. You're gonna make it.

Thanks for the kind words, anon! I still don't understand what "gonna make it" means with regard to my art.

I also enjoy the railway and collect minerals. People often call me a geek, but it seems to me that this is the basic level of passion for the topic. After all, that anon saw that my curved ladders are really beautiful.

I owe my birth as an artist to our regional imageboards. Anons were my first viewers since 2018, so I can work with negativity.

I am also surprised by the prohibition of politics and small nations in Western art. The most sincere art in Eastern Europe, as a rule, has a very strong political connotation, and it doesn’t matter if it’s left, right or something else. Even I have a very old art about police corruption (yes, I didn’t care about the background at all then).

We love to draw police officers, presidents, rallies and all that: serious or ironic, it's still very popular. I took part in an exhibition, the entrance to which was closed by the police. They literally welded up the iron door lol.

"gonna make it" (going to make it), means to be successful with your art "career". Wich is a whole new topic about what it means to be successful today at anything honestly. I would prefer to do art for myself and not to be the slave of some other people's commands and ideas for some money.

About the politics matter, yes I thought just that about your background. Your people are more concerned about those topics. We in the west have been neutered over decades about politics. Corporate business rules, and they don't like that word. They don't want any more law, rules and order of anykind. They are buying goverment. It's like the 1987 movie Robocop predicted.

That pic is awesome, dude you're GOOD. Love those sword designs.

Wow! Well, I'll try. I'm not looking to make a lot of money. I haven't had to go hungry yet. I want to become a recognized artist in the classical sense of the word: to exhibit and have an artistic rating. I don't have an art background, so it's not an easy target. Maybe someday I will get such an education.

I love my clients. I draw portraits in the following way. A dude comes and says: I work as a funeral agent, and I'm all fucked up. And I tell him: UNDERSTAND!

Or a girl comes and says: I feel so defenseless and fragile. I would like to know that something good is destined for me, and that I have a patron, at least in the invisible world. And I say to her: how do you feel about the voodoo tradition?

My ideology is the co-creation of the author with the audience. I am attentive, but thousands of my subscribers have definitely seen and see much more. Let them talk. So my art will become more expressive.

Yes, we here do not like this corporate ethic of yours at all. But I don't think anyone among you likes it, lol. We value sincerity. But it always seemed to me that this is characteristic of any nation.

I think you stated that you're 25YO earlier, so you're very young and your artistic expression has a lot to grow yet. We don't know here what your art is missing. We're not qualified to answer that. All we see is a novelty in the process, the way you do it. But in that process method resides a huge limitation , you said it takes you like 2 months to do one of these art pieces, right? Well that's a lot of time for a digital work. Maybe you could find a software to help you do this more efficiently, but in the realm of pixel art. Like aseprite? I don't know much about dedicated pixel software, but that seems to be your strenght. Pixel enthusiasts will be your crowd judging what you posted here.

And then, there's the traditional side of it. The oil versions, that's even harder to critique for us. The execution is perfect, after that it's all a matter of taste and appeal. That's the job of professional art reps and curators in the gallery art world. You won't find that knowledge here.
You have your own style, and that's a lot already. Good luck out there artist anon. Stay humble and keep your mental health, don't let people take you down. Good Bless.

Now I'm 25, that's right. But when my drawings were burned, I did not draw from the age of 12 to 20. It still hurts me to remember this now.

After 20 years, I painted no more than half an hour a week. I quickly created some cool sketch based on anon's requests and forgot about it until the next bout of boredom.

I started drawing almost every day 3 years ago. Then I became very ill and recovered for more than a year. Now I have not left the house for 9 months not for work. All I do is draw. But now I'm going on vacation for a month to gain strength and impressions.

To be honest, I'm not interested in digital painting. I like to out count pixel ladders, but the real glory lies in the oil. I'm not in a hurry. No program will help me draw faster, because for 5 months out of 6 when drawing Evelina, I calculated the perfect arithmetic sequences of pixels.

One of the oil orders I painted for 2 years due to illness. Another 2 drawings took a year and a half. The customers did not want to take the money back and supported me in every possible way. It was a painful test of my will, but now I know that my perseverance is made of steel, heh. Every week I literally dragged myself to the table with brushes and sat down to paint, not seeing the difference between what was changed last week. I say this: the path to eternity is not easy. It sounds pathetic, but I take drawing very seriously.

Now it's useless. Before that, I did not hold a brush in my hands even in drawing lessons, lol. I am very wrong in the creation of colors and in the placement of details. The lines get thicker or crooked very unexpectedly for me. By eye, I try to make the gradients as smooth as possible, I do not disdain to draw with my finger, use cotton swabs or a screwdriver to create texture.

I even like that there are no these pixel stairs in the oil, but only my pure sense of beauty. Viewer reactions to my oil is the only way to know if my drawings mean anything without being told it's just Paint and a mouse lol. But I'm really very immature in this.

When you do the traditional painting method working with oils, Do you have any weird quirky obsession like you have when working with pixels on digital medium? I mean like getting the perfect mixture of a certain color or whatever? I think that if could add some weird unique method to your paintings that could add a lot of value to the final piece as well. People in the fine art world are always looking for artists with weird unique methods and you have all the elements to be one of those weird unique artists.
You should thinkt about that. To come up with something weird only you do for painting. You already do puzzles in some of the pixel art, as you said before, maybe you could do some unique math misteries in the oils. There's a crowd for that sort of mistery / puzzle / problem solving / products.

Your art is so stylized that the /alt/ thread would love to see it. Since you want to use 4chan as your base to build an audience, why not go to where the people are? I mean you no distress, be well my friend.

Come on dude, it's great. It's amazing to me that no one has yet called me attentionwhore, as they always do on my regional boards. We have a different mentality: if a person declares himself, shows his work (on thematic boards, mind you), then this is absolute haram. "How dare you lean out, creature?!" I just take it for granted. The main thing is that both there and here there were still people who understood me and my art, and this is the main thing.

Do you think if I invite the /alt/ thread to rate my work by linking to that thread, wouldn't that be cringe? I liked the pictures from there, you were right.

I'm not gathering an audience yet (I have nowhere, lol). It's just that communication on imageboards is more sincere. If I need to hear a lot of uncensored opinions, I always go to imageboards.

I would also like to note that all the artists I have named (with the exception of Sulimov) are very young and also just starting their creative path (but have already managed to gain recognition). You can also look for Valery Selin. He began to paint at the age of 50, and before that he was engaged in the evaluation and sale of paintings.

If we take the masters, then I bow to the talent of Vasily Shulzhenko and Eric Bulatov. I will never draw like them. It is already clear that my works are much more decorative. Besides, I have no art education. But I also like as hell the first Suprematists like Wassily Kandinsky. In short, I know well what and how I want to portray. But, as you pointed out, there is always room for improvement. And alone I will grow much more slowly.

To be clear, I like the direction you're going in and using Paint is completely fine. I don't know if I'm the "target audience", but I love unique art. The appeal I see in your drawings is that they're slightly surreal, somewhat building on what seems like religious art, they kind of give me a DOS vibe and they're a little disorienting. And the critique I was trying to make was that it pushes none of this to it's limits. It still looks too stiff, too clunky and without clear direction to really capture me. But I'm optimistic that you'll get it right in the future. You seem to have the right mindset.

>> No.6640819

>>6640806
Generals are threads that are centered around a central topic or discussion that most people post in. For example, on this board even though everything is branded under "art work critique" instead of just having one large thread or people making separate threads for their individual arts, the culture here is to find a specific "general" that fits your skill level or interests. If you want to post your mechs or industrial designs, go post it in the mechanization general. Like to paint anime? Post it in the anime study general. Just starting out? Go the the /beg/ general (the beginner thread). Feel like you're more experienced? Go to the /draw/ general.
This isn't just /ic/ either, most boards on here (like /v/ for example) have generals dedicated to specific topics so that people's discussions are more organized.

Thank you for your sympathy, anon from Tula. To be honest, things happened to me as a child much, much worse than burning drawings. But child abuse is international shit.

I noticed that in almost all the threads here, anons stubbornly avoid the presence of plots in the drawings. There are still a few artists on our drawing board who come from meaning.

Yes, your mixture of religious pictures (and the crosses, as I can see, are Orthodox) and creepy low-skill porn looks epic. I would call resorting to low quality hentai a loss of reputation lol.

Although you draw people very naively, I know a lot of gallery artists who don't really care about anatomy either. This is what is called - the style of "naive". Picture 01 in this style is made very intelligently, it has a mood. It can be seen that you have the skill, but you turned somewhere in the wrong direction.

I also like that you draw the faces of ordinary people, and you fail at it. The features of your faces scatter across the portrait, one eye is higher than the other, your mouth has slipped too far to the side, your chin is too small.

So try to increase this effect, lol. It will be very exciting. You have an example of Modigliani. But you will have to take great care of the colors and composition. Judging by Figure 53, this is exactly your path. Check out the work of Clive Barker.

I also like the creature in picture 39. Nice color combination haha. If you give it a good composition and plot, then this work will be no worse than something more serious in terms of meaning. I know a girl who paints in oils photographic dinosaurs with girls in dresses, her work is very popular and always a hit.

I don't know why you draw cringe porn to order. If this is your only source of income, then I have no right to say anything about it.

I have no idea about the personalities of this board, so I can't count on it not being trolling... In any case, this long text will reveal my thinking even better. Let it be so.

the miku's solely for me, i like her and the others are my own characters - but people want to see themselves or something they already like to begin with in order to be interested in your work. so you either have to draw recognizable characters or have your art speak to others on its own...but then you run into the issue of getting them to see it in the first place, which becomes exponentially harder without riding off the back of existing trends. then again, maybe your approach is better because you're aiming for a niche community and have a recognizable style, while i change mine depending on my whims. i will always be able to draw for myself and my close friends, so i don't mind distancing myself from my "work" art
replied to you on vk btw

>> No.6656699

Copying my answer from VK for other anons.

To be honest, for myself, I did not notice any lag in media advancement even when I was drawing very simple and unfinished things. My artistic style remains recognizable whether I draw contours or not, use flashy colors or pastels. It's some kind of magic...

I also don't have much respect for fanart. I can understand 1-2 works as a tribute to the content that impressed me a lot. But fanarts don't hang in museums and never will hang there in a serious way. And that's where I'm going.

If you're looking to get rich and famous quickly, the best path is to be a gay slut lol, but I seriously prefer the path of Van Gogh, who died penniless but obsessed with his ideas over how to please the public. And this audience, as we see, is formed by fucking wankers, and not people with at least some artistic taste.
