The board is not in a decline, what you are observing is the effect of niche general threads segregating users caused by one or two dedicated complainers who did not like to see too much curve, too small of breasts, showing too much skin, etc. As a result, the many general threads have created rifts between the centralized draw threads that used to accommodated all types of content but since nobody could get along with each other (screeching fujos whenever they see an hour glass shape) other general threads have been created over time that have practically turned into their own boards with their own customs, like a country within a country. I've been noticing that these niche general communities harbor hugbox mentalities with untouchable ones that are the poster child of the general thread who you cannot provide constructive criticism without causing a fanboy to crawl out of the woodwork and parry feedback by claiming things like a side mouth is their own unique style and done on purpose. If this trend of creating niche general threads continue with users being confined in their "containment threads" creating groups of yes men to circlejerk the resident posterchild of a general thread could these general threads be the final nail in the coffin for this board that's been a long time coming?

I never said you didn't and idk what you're linking me. All I've said (which is true) is that nobody will give a shit what you say about their work if they think it's coming from someone who couldn't do a fraction of what they can. Which will be the default perspective unless you post work to prove them otherwise. It takes me like 2 minutes to give somebody good redlines as helpful feedback and the redlines show that I know what I'm doing, and people tend to be grateful for them. At the same time I don't go redlining work that is better than my capability because I'm not full of myself.

It’s pretty bad. There used to be only /draw/ then /alt/ spun out. Then /beg/ spun out. It stayed like this for 7years or so. Then someone got pissy in /alt/ about the porn. So then /salt/ was made. Then /lsg/ and /fag/ then /asg/ then /cbsg/ and the OC thread. I think /trad/ came out of /draw/ but even /draw/ died for like half a year. But almost everything came out of /alt/ so now there is nothing left of /alt/. It’s completely picked clean. It’s arguably better because all the people in the neo generals really deserve each other.

Honestly, it was all down hill once /salt/ was made.

Most threads and most posts are bait, and this thread might just be another bait as well, but i'll use it as an excuse to point out some things that need pointing out.

I wouldn't say generals itself are the problem, it's the anons.
Everyone seems out for blood to delete anything they do not like while whining when someone else does the same to them and never care to read or use their brains but once they see a tangible target, they're all over it.
