How do people draw with pressure? Its a weird question but you can't see their hands when they draw, and you can't see their pressure settings. Are they always lightly drawing, or always pressing down, or in the middle and gently easing up and down while doing a single stroke? I downloaded some brushes and the pressure curves look like fucking rollercoasters. On top of that, I don't know what size they're drawing with. Don't say "do whats comfortable" because using a tablet is already uncomfortable. Its like asking the computer to simulate drawing with a pen, my brain can't make the connection between the nub and what appears on screen.

>>6626256
There isn't really an answer to your question because pretty much anything is an option depending on how the brush is set up and what you are trying to do.

Generally for line art width is pressure sensitive (and you are consciously controlling pressure to manage the line weight through a stroke), and for painting opacity/flow are pressure sensitive (and you are more concerned about consistantly achieving the right pressure to avoid making strokes too light/dark).

You can see what the artist did by looking at the mark they made.

Basically the only universal advice I would give is adjust your global pressure curve to something like this so that you can max a brush without pressing too hard. Using too much pressure will fuck your hand and wear out the nib, you should be able to max a brush if you need to without getting tired.

The lines look just like a normal round brush with some pen pressure sensitivity (like the normal Gpen).
For the coloring, just get muted colors to simulate printed paper, and slap a layer of perlin noise at like 30% opacity in overlay, on top of it (with as fine a grain as you can get).

It should give you that paper roughness looks.

Is there a brush that works like the "Tone" tool from oekaki? It works like a solo brush that can do all picrel variations by just changing opacity. The low opacity brush stroke wont overlaps the one with more opacity, as the brush stroke seems to have some pattern that adds pixels on fixed positions to the brush stroke as opacity increases.

I have the pack with 6 different size dot brushes, but making the transition is more offish than just changing slightly the opacity.

Can anyone help me with some brush settings? iIve been trying to achieve this kind of stroke on the gpen for ages. (or maybe is it another kind of brush)

It seems like it has different pressure sensitivity settings and opacity settings from default gpen since some strokes can also be seen behind an already existing stroke (probably multiply mode?)

There's no CSP version of that set though. I'd recommend checking out the INK brush set for CSP. I've used the Procreate version and it's pretty great if you're looking for ink brushes.

A4. When I use any preset or tools downloaded from the asset store I only need 1px to see something on the canvas but with these brushes I need minimum 10-20px? Even putting them as big as 80-100px doesn't cover much area.

Is there a larger CSP assets website or folder for backups? Especially since a lot of the JP/KR brushes get deleted every so often from the assets store.
If not, can any generous data hoarding anons with these deleted brushes and materials please reupload? I can also share some nice paid brushes in return.

I have mine up high (15 and above) but only for inking. Depending on the program, I used to have it up really high in SAI and I inked like that for over a decade so that's what i'm used to. But for rendering and sketching you definitely don't want it up that high at all because the lines would look and feel unnaturally smooth. It's supposed to be loose so yoh don't overwork your hand/wrist. Unless you have a condition where your hands are shaky, try to find a spot on the stabilization where it feels nice but doesn't course correct your lines too much.

Strange, those brushes got deleted from your materials even after you downloaded them? I ask this because i see the green checkmark on those.

>> No.6685145

>>6685110
Some did and some didn't. I had a hiccup while updating CSP and it initially wiped everything to a default state where none of my materials showed up, unless I went to the assets store to re-download them. I ended up finding a previous backup I had made and restored from that though. (I highly recommend making a copy and saving everything that's in the huge CELSYS folder under windows documents for that exact reason, since it stores all your settings, materials, etc, just in case.)
It's an overlooked issue though. If someone doesn't sync their materials to CSP's cloud or hadn't made a backup beforehand while getting a similar unexpected error, they might not be able to re-download store materials they had owned previously if the uploader had deleted it since the last time they'd been available. So regardless of the green checkmark, you're only guaranteed to have those materials if you download the files directly to your computer and make a backup of that CELSYS folder, or trust and sync absolutely everything with a cloud system.
