So, I always wanted something. How you guys feel about cases like Pip Taylor? The woman what after falling down the stairs and hitting the head could suddenly draw really well (not perfect, but really good artwork). Would some see that as cheating? Not as good as other artwork because she did not need the practice for it? Im asking in good faith, and NO PARALELS TO AI ART, PLEASE.

No, that would be The Explosive Act of Creation

The true answer is that the foundation of accurate observational drawing is very simple and everybody already has the ability within them, it's just a matter of clearing your mind, having patience, and developing motor skills. Her head injury probably broke something in her so that all of her hangups and preconceived notions about observation were wiped away, so that she could "only" draw what she sees.
It's the classic case of why draeing human faces accurately is one of the hardest things, while drawing something entirely foreign to you is much easier.

I’ve heard of people waking up from a coma or whatever and suddenly speaking a foreign language. But I never cared to look more into those stories to see if they were fake.

Pip Taylor could be a fraud, too.

>"When I was recovering and resting at home I decided to pick up a pencil and start sketching.

"My sister jokes that she wants a bang on the head so she can wake up with a talent."

She added: "I hadn't drawn for years but I bought a 2b pencil and a sketch pad and tried drawing.

"It felt really natural in a way it hadn't before and I saw things in a different light.

"I began to realise I had a real skill in being able to copy things accurately."

Sadly, Pip's brain doesn't allow her to create her own images in her imagination but she can copy objects, people and photographs perfectly.

She mainly draws animals and pet portraits and her favourite part to draw are the eyes.

"I get such a pleasure from my art. My brain injury changed my life and I am just so glad that I have this positive talent from it.

Luke Griggs, spokesperson for Headway, a brain injury association, said: "Our brains are capable of incredible things and while today we know so much more than we used to, there is still much to learn about the brain.

"It is difficult to pinpoint the exact reasons behind Pip's fabulous new-found artistic ability but we are delighted she is enjoying her new hobby."

Most language ones are mostly BS, or its languages they've been exposed to their entire life but never made the connections.

With things like this is more your brain just restarting and seeing things from a new perspective and making connections it could make before.
So with languages, its like being around spanish your whole life without learning it but being aware of the context phrases and words are used, and now suddenly it just clicks and it makes sense what those phrases "mean"
With art its just a lot of observational drawing which isn't inherently hard just takes a certain perspective to really "click" with people.
