photobash > decrease opacity > trace > line art > shading

Is this the optimal drawing method?
Or is pic related better?

I tried it and this feels like a waste of time for me somehow, not rewarding. You might as well just use ai at that point, go all in in the cheating

tracing photobash will only get you so far.

not even talking about muh gains, just that when you trace something it's better be something you CAN draw without tracing, otherwise it will look like shit because you can't interpret what the fuck your strokes are.

optimal like pure efficiency wise is just drawing some cartoony porn and getting at least 1k patreons I'm so tempted to do it it's too fucking easy I'll draw some pokemon sucking dick they're like a fucking circle with cat ears and make free money for doing it I don't understand why more artists don't

it highly depends on your skill level, if drawing for you is still difficult, naturally photobashing and tracing is easier, instead if you really know how to draw, just sketching your thing is faster than looking for references, photoshopping photos, merging them etc... and the difficulty of it increases to almost impossible if you want to make a comic. So drawing some stuff is faster if you know how to draw, but drawing some objects is faster to trace instead.
Moreover is important how you trace too, if you photobashed a character, don't 1:1 them, just make a loose sketch of where the things should go and then go over it and fix proportions, if you know how to draw the result is better

Are you drawing to learn? Or do you want to shit something out that's fast and 'correct'?
You won't learn as much photbashing and tracing 3d models etc but you will get through much faster, and maybe draw more if what you do like instead.
