Anyone happen to have any videos of glenn rane painting somewhere? I'm not sure if any exist other than the tutorial he sells on his website, which Isn't what I want, but just asking just incase there's some archived videos somewhere.

You can watch him paint an elf for $10. For $15, you can watch him draw the layouts too.

Yeah I was already aware of this one like I mentioned. Was hoping there was more that was archived somewhere else

Actually since no one seems to have found any other vids, since they probably don't exist, I wanna change the question.

Does anyone know how to go about rendering those daggers? I'm using his brushes, but

1. i'm having issues replicating a similar texture to his

2. I don't know how he did that magic smokey effect around the daggers

Well if he is cheap enough to double charge for what should've been one lesson, I think it's safe to assume he doesn't have any full classes available.

Perhaps similar to the glow effect this artist used?

Sure I took that into account, but I really meant how did he paint the actual streaks of magic, the swoopy bits. Custom brushes? a mix of soft and hard brushes? i have no clue.

Damn I'm sure this would have been very impressive back in 2013, but this suck ass lmao. Go follow a better artist

The streaks remind me of fire brushes, I think it could look similar if you blur it a bit

Dagger just looks like hard round and soft round brush. Maybe smudge tool on wispy glowing bits.

Never thought to use the smudge tool here, I think it worked. Thanks for that!

You wouldn't happen to know how they went about painting the inner part of the dagger would you? Like did he use custom brushes to get the texture, or did he import the texture? maybe a bit of both idk

>painting the inner part of the dagger
Probably just combination of a basic chalk brush(I see a little bit of noise) Soft and hard round. Making all the textures with basic brushes was(and is) an extremely common skill.
I don't see evidence of custom brush or image overlay.

More like 2009 when World of Warcraft wasn't dead.
