your proportions are great, when it comes to the shading its decent, but you should learn more about how to do specular highlights. The trick with them is not just to make them white, but to communicate the texture of the material being highlighted. if you research specular highlights in photos and master paintings you'll see how its done and how it can tie everything together and feel real.

I said to myself 2 hours, but it is pretty hard getting this into the dayplan, since I have other things to do, too.
(and I won't compromise on long sleep and watching some show before bed to get some decompression)

3 hours is could've done better tier, 5 to 6 is good, 8 is exceptional. But any time spent is good time moving forward and this rating system means nothing. I've been about 4 hours average I think past weeks, I remember my soul felt the the best when I was drawing 8 hours and not getting much sleep, just pure joy until my hand began hurting, but obviously that's unsustainable due to life and mentally I put road blocks in my way that make me run away from it. And I see that clear now.
Sometimes it's necessary to work out problems, think and read about what you need to do rather than dive head first into it, finding what to do can help ease you into actually doing it. So whilst not time spent drawing, I try and think about things whenever I have the time too, in the shower, trains. You'll be surprised with how much time you can squeeze if everything is "streamlined" if you have your setup ready, your ideas and references ready and most importantly if you're excited about it that you're willing to do it; I remember I was improving a lot when I was so excited by it all I was thinking about it all the time, I try and conceptualise it as me wanting to get back to that mental space. Yes I waste time with video games and shit sometimes and I hate myself for it, uninstall them. 30 minutes doesn't seem like much but it is.

Trying to do art without taking care of yourself, It's like trying to dance without music. Make sure you see the sun, exercise, look good, be healthy. And find your rythmn so you can begin to dance. It's weird because I actually like their WIPs more than their finished colored work. The flats and linework (and sometimes even the sketches) sometimes makes me legitmately cum buckets but then when its rendered it feels not as good to me. I'm kinda tempted to take the flat WIPs they have done themself and just render it myself to make it better. They come up with pretty based and hot situation/poses but most of the time the anatomy or the face is just slightly awkward. I like them overall but they've got a lot of issues that keep me from 100 percent cumming all over their work

You should try Greg Rutkowski's brushes, or anything with a rough texture.
People always advertise the hard round brush, but one shouldn't neglect having fun with the cool stuff.
A bit of texture makes things much more interesting, even if it's not the answer to all problems.

Hello peeps, I am sorta new here, and this thread type. About last month or so, I developed a method based on marc burnett's video.
>Hell, I use the free brushes from them.
However, my digital drawing time has been few, and far between. I try to organize myself via the calander, trello, and use timers like; work.exe, and tomato timer (Hell both at the same time). Still more or less trying to get quick with art, and not linger on something like the coloring phase.

I do plan on getting some trad art material, to keep up a streak. Especially when afk. Atm, I am seeking out a job. So I will probably need to see timing with drawing semi-daily. And hell, bringing drawing supplies with me.

I feel ya. Sinix and Bucci say it's way more useful to paint in direct color, but it still fucks with me. Preserving edges and blending seems so much easier in grayscale. Maybe it's cause it doesn't look as muddy?

My teacher says his goal of reaching the heights of where he is in the industry was pure unending arrogance from himself, to be able to say "oh yeah I can do that" even when he couldn't. That's what apparently allowed him to just do it. To design things he's never had an interest in and such. I said, are you sure it's not just confidence in the process? The empirical truth "I do X and apply myself and I get Y"? He agreed that it had a part to play, knowledge and stuff.
But I agree with him, you have to have arrogance to be an artist, to say "I can do it". You can do it.
