Would it surprise you if I told you most of these big twitter artists purchase likes/retweets to artificially boost their engagement? Would it surprise you if I told you it’s dirt cheap to buy retweets? Would it shock you to know that these fake retweets actually affect view rate of these posts, causing more people to see them and even engage with them whereas they would not have otherwise done so? if you make a new art-based account the stuff you'd see are still good art either way and it's not like that artist is bad. it's still true you can manipulate the numbers with some money but that's also not good since you want actual people looking into your art and then do real commissions - boost/sponsoring your posts is much better but also building your own reputation.
