I also agree with them when it comes to the color palette not being particularly appealing. While that is influenced by personal taste to some extent, I do not think it fits the flower you have chosen to base the entire design on.
Since you asked for feedback, I took the time to try and sketch what I think might give you some inspiration in the future. You seemed to have adopted the redraw design of the Dragon Prince I did for you, so I thought I would try to help with this as well. Unfortunately, I did not have the lore of the character from >>6538805 when I made this, but I hope the redraw can still be useful to some extent. In general, I think the more you base the design on the coral peony and its traits, the better, but I tried to keep the general silhouette of your own iteration out of respect for the original vision.

They are green, actually. Wanted to have something that might represent the stem of the flower. Closed dress on the front is what I would personally go for, but because the original has an opening, I didn't want to have her legs bare, since that might look slightly less regal. So I went for tight leggings/boots, then added gloves of the same color to balance the bottom and top of the design a bit better.
There are undoubtedly better design solutions for this. It would be nice to have another anon draw their own version that might fix the issue.

I'm unironically loving that dress you made. It's so airly and summerly even I my stubbornness I can't deny a good design when I see one. I was intentionally holding out on making her outfit pink as I felt yellow made for an unconventional choice and I really was inspired by Amano's concept art of Celes and love how he made yellow and greens made look so elegant even though yellow is tacky a main color.

I suppose I can make the flower more subtle like you did here, she turns into an orchid mantis monster girl due to curse that turns flower people into feral bug people so I suppose pink is the right call. Sadly I accidentally merged the layers on that most recent drawing earlier so would have to trace/redraw the image to make some tweaks.

here is my move board for PPP, I wanted something pretty and feminine but active since she is an adventurer so you can better see my mindset. ill come back to this soon, i have another drawing I want to finish in the meantime.

Here is my donkey boy ranchero: Dusty Bottoms! He's the reincarnation of an old farmer's favorite donkey, who died one night protecting his family from el Chupacabra (or el chupi for short). Unfortunately in his absence the old farmer eventually passes away and the remaining family members move to the city.
Many years later the reincarnated Dusty eagerly returns to his home only to find that nobody is there.

He eventually tags along with Akio (MC of series I'm making) secretly hoping he can die heroically just like the first time.

Elegant, ladylike, smells good.

Boy, this was a bit of a challenge. I wanted to try to come up with something that met the brief but had a distinctly different feel to >>6538927
since that one is already so well designed. Messed around for a couple hours and came with this. Not 100% pleased with it but I didn't want to spend more time so this is what I have. I think using more sheer/gauzy layers of clothing is a way to emphasize the character's feminine appeal while still keeping her relatively covered.

Here's my teleporter OC >>6531762, Bernard-- also known as Blink. Also added picrel cause the ref I gave doesn't have his eye color.

Lore is that he was an heir to a ludicrously big banking company and "died" the day he received his powers, only to reform and live on the streets to escape the pressure from his old life. Ends getting picked up by the leader of the mutant supremacist cult and serves as their recruiter until he found out that the cult was actually killing people and was not, IN FACT, a mutant-support-group.

He ends up joining the fishgal and batter (not shown) who end up teaching him how to box, which he ends up learning pretty quickly, so now he fights for the forces of (dubiously) good... since they're all wanted by the law...

So I was right on the money and we have to agree to disagree about this being a good thing.
However, you have to understand that it doesn't matter what she "really is like on the inside" if your design keeps giving off a wrong impression.
Shrek is an evil ogre at the beginning, when he's trying to be so. Once he shows gentle/human facial expressions, we understand he's more than that.

So make sure to soften her attitude down the line, cause otherwise people will just side with the mobs calling her a whore. I don't get why she'd have this insolent brat face if she isn't one, unless she's acting for some plot-related reason.

Also, the art still suffered a downgrade, being less organic than the original, so beware of that. I can see the technique went up, but with it some stiffness settled in.

In his universe beings like him are less "born" and more like "popped" into existence.

For example ghosts and other mystical beings are born when people (or in his case, animals) die under special circumstances. Gods on the other hand are willed into existence and given power by the people who believe in them. The more people believe in ghosts/gods, the more powerful they become.
When ghosts/etc. wake up for the first time it's usually somewhere that's important to them or where they were last buried, for gods it's where most people worship them.


Also just because I love to lore dump even more:
Dusty reincarnates as a human-like being because he dies with a surplus of good-boy points that buy him a second pass at life to experience the joys of being a human. El Chupacabra on the other hand was once a man suffering from disease who died cursing the settlers who abandoned him in the desert. Not part of any server, so I will treat this as if it wasn't just dumb drama.
When 1/4 of my character redraws come from a specific anon, we happen to have similar artist inspirations and similar character tastes, and I look for a way to kill time, an entire redesign is something I am willing to do. If one anon experiments with redesigning, it is more likely another one might get inspired to give their own twist, creating this snowball effect.
No need for anyone to turn sour. It's a matter of luck whether tastes align or not, and that influences the amount of effort someone will put in a redraw. Delivering often adds to the chances of your OC becoming the focus, so you can always try that. If you only deliver, try to draw attention to the stuff you like by drawing them. There is no such thing as too many redraws in a redraw thread.

To the newfrens in the room hello lol I've done over 130 deliveries and been here since before this general was even a general, almost always traded back with people who draw my stuff, I've done redesigns, created an entire oc for someone from scratch, and even dumped doodles for Christmas and valentines day just because liked this general. I engaged in discussions about ocs and their lore etc. In short, I contributed a lot of good to this thread.

If you feel left out and want people to draw your stuff then you really have to draw more stuff for others, ask for help on your design and share a little about your projects, and most importantly post things that people feel compelled to draw. This thread used to be alot like the engagement that you saw with my Peony and people getting 10 deliveries used to be a regular occurrence back then.

They're confirmed to run a discord where they consistently run gayops on every general that shows promise out of pure spite against /ic/ or really anybody who draws especially if they draw better than them (check out how pink anon, gooddraws, fox anon, etc. always seem to get attacked despite doing nothing outside of contributing to the thread)

General etiquette is contribution. No one gives a shit as long as anons say thank you and aren’t entitled. There are many cases where anons get deliveries and don’t ask for a return but say thanks, or they don’t ask draw the specific deliverer’s oc and instead draw another oc they like more. The idea of giving back isn’t about forcing yourself to give back to a specific anon but drawing shit to keep the thread productive. Just say thanks and choose an oc you actually like to give back if you don’t want to be forced to trade with a deliverer. Trying to police how or why an anon should draw is stupid because everyone has different reasons for drawing in these threads and as someone who only draws shit I like ITT I’ve never felt guilted to give back to anyone. If an anon feels guilted to do something that’s his own personal feelings.
