Generating shit takes me out of that experience and makes the result unsatisfying as I do not have the power or stupidity required to convince myself that it's me who made it.

Even if I wanted to answer you, I can't. I've been drawing since I could grab a pencil. I've 'quited' many times and before I knew it I was drawing or painting something new. It's like I can't live without drawing, and fortunately, I'm in a constant state of inspiration, so I never get bored.

Any activity can be a skill. Just as you can learn to be better at drawing by drawing faster and with higher quality, same can be done for AI assume, as there's ton of mediocre AI art and few of actually good ones, so I assume the people making the good ones took their time to improve whatever they do, to stand out from the sea of bad ones.

the reason so many people have jumped on ai vs drawing is that it literally requires almost 0 time or skill to create anything, if these people really cared about the visual arts they would have been drawing already
also, the whole prompting thing is just a temporary stage, if art can be automated then all the "finesse" or whatever u wanna call it that goes into custom models and prompts certainly can and will be within a matter of months
the entire point of these algorithms is to remove the the skill and time required to create drawings, they'll be looking for ways to dumb it down as much as possible.

Guess they better value those "skills" while they still matter.
As generators improve, the skill requirements for using them right will get lowered to essentially nothing as that's their end goal, their entire purpose and selling point.
Good thing the ones that get good with them generously provide the data necessary to achieve that goal merely by using the product.

That still sucks ass, plus if you are not using the correct training model it will not give you good results. I2i gives you horseshit results where it does not follow the pose most of the time and sometimes straight up adds multiple arms and shit.

Its already the cave with Midjourney. You can get basically every picture high quality and good looking, the only hard part is getting what you actually want. With Stable you still need skill at prompting because it is too raw and does not fiddle with your prompts at all, plus SD is the smallest of the big AI bunch (Dall-E 2, Midjourney). Only reason anons prefer Stable over Midjourney is because Midjourney does not allow gore and nudity, and NovelAI is shit that is also paid. Midjourney is also paid, but it gives you 25 free pictures per discord account. Also another reason why anons prefer Stable is because they are autistic Linux users that hate corporations and prefer open-source locally run alternative over superior easier to use product that is controlled by corporation.

From what I've seen it has less problems with extra body parts (at least when it's a basic bitch pose), but it still misinterprets details or any unique elements.
If it's an undetailed image then it will add in extra shit just because it felt like it, I swear to fucking god you have to go out of your way to prevent the stupid thing from giving every other female character a choker.
If your image is already good and detailed enough then you might as well just finish it yourself.

Wish there was AI which could do just the shading for me. I enjoy drawing the lines and just drawing the lines alone makes me do every creative decision. Then the shading takes like 5 times more time to do and is the main area where you can see the difference between talented and beg artist. If AI researchers found a problem and then tried to fix it, they would make this AI instead of text2img horseshit we have now, because shading AI would be used more by actual artists and would be the tool that levels out the playing field for talent as they claim text2img does. But sadly they work like scientists where they discover something useless and then try find use for it or engineer use for the easiest problem to solve, rather then the most important problem to solve.

Didn't made me question why I draw, personally- I just do, I always did and always will.
It did actually challenge my outlook on art a little. Is art just a pretty picture? Then why do this machine vomit doesn't move me in the slightest? I'm not even disgusted at it or intrigued by some of the horrors it spit like some DeviantArt abominations did.

There's nothing there.

Reinforced this idea I entertained, that art is a form of communication. A natural rock can look beautiful, but I wouldn't call it art, it has nothing to say. Same deal with machine-made pictures. It doesn't say anything, it only manages to parody what was already the lowest, most derivative forms of art. I think this is what people mean when they say "Soulless", something that earnestly attempts to convey an idea, even without proper skills to back it up, is infinitely more powerful and resounding than anything a machine can make.

>> No.6506689

if you have this question in mind often and have asked it to yourself after observing the effects of artificial "intelligence", maybe you are not drawing for yourself and your power. maybe, you are in fact faced with a hidden motive that was present all along, such as a need for validation or money like mentioned above.
technology cannot surpass the expression of the human Creator. i the imminent technocracy of the future decades there will be a day where it will be considered mad to not give up your soul.

The AI experience is a derivation of the achievements of humanity, scraped and copied, rehashed with despisers and directed loosely by a line of text with hacked together tags in a desperate attempt to assert the control taken for granted by even a /beg/ artist.
