They're vague about what they're talking about - do they mean they're analyzing the data of actual images created and the associated processes, or just functions used? Sucking up everything you make as input for Adobe's image shitter would be a huge problem and open them up for lawsuits (you can scream fair use as much as you want, but you can bet your ass that any sizable illustration/GD/animation/game company would stop using Adobe products and file a lawsuit if they found that Adobe was processing their images to be used as data for their competing product). If it's not looking at the actual image and just analyzing things like which functions tend to be used together and crash reports, then it wouldn't be as big of a deal.

Years ago, I bought a copy of PS7, and an upgrade to CS. Then, not too long after that, I upgraded to a new computer and tried to reinstall PS. The key had been invalidated, and when I called them they basically told me to get fucked and buy a newer copy.
