I can't afford a calibration tool so I downloaded an icc profile from somebody who did. I don't think calibration will help much anyway. I looked it up and even people who did calibrate their 22 plus were complaining about the saturated colors and strong reds/shit blues.

try manually calibrating it just by eye. I tried an ICC profile I found online and it was absolute shit. I found someone's monitor settings on reddit I think, then tweaked slightly on my own, and the color is very similar to my ipad now.

I want to buy someone a gift and it is difficult for me to find a refurbished ipad 2nd gen, so im geared more towards the samsung tablet fresh from the shop. I personally have a used ipad pro from 2016 which i bought a few years ago for around 230 usd, and while the 2/32 memory is not fun, i still consider the drawing experience good enough and use it more often than my display tablet linked to the computer. and got the colors to match my other screen a lot better. The colors will look almost exactly the same in one image, and in another the reds will be super saturated on the kamvas. Setting gamma to 2.4 makes some colors match better but fucks up everything else so I left it set to off. I guess I'll just have to check on different screens when I'm working with color.

I can assure you that any decent artist will create same quality paintings both with 4000$ and 500$ tablets. It's a massive cope to think that it's the hardware that holds you back. I'm a pro and used Intuos4, IntuosPro, Xp-pen pro 24, Cintiq pro 22, Huion pro 16 2.5k (which is my current daily drive) - they all perform well enough to create work. There's no "taking advantage of hardware", all current decent tablets are usable. There's really no reason to overpay for the brand name.

It is good enough for high quality illustration, I paint in 4k with Ibis paint and managed to get commission from a mobile game company, lagging is rare with Ibispaint but more often with app like Infinite painter.
I'm taking care of it carefully but it's still got 3 tiny scratches on the screen. Not visible but I still find it annoying sometimes.
I got enough money to upgrade to a used iPad pro but I chose to invest in traditional art supply instead. S6 lite already satisfied all my need for digital.

I have different colored USB slots on my MB, black, teal and blue. The blue ones are the only ones in which the tablet has ever worked and using the others it doesn't even register the tablet.

I'll try getting a USB hub to lighten the load and maybe have more advanced connectors. If that doesn't work, it's time for a new 3 in 1.
Is the 3 in 1 the only choice to power up a Kamvas or are there other options? The tablet itself has 2 USB-C slots and one normal USB, there has to be a way to utilize all the slots, The middle USB-C slot is the only one that even works, the bottom one doesn't even respond, I don't think that it's non-functional, but once again, not enough power.

It's not even S6 Lite specific, it's a problem with all tablets. The only way to prevent it completely is to only use drawing applications which allow you to disable "draw with touch" which will force it to only accept stylus input for drawing (gestures still work for other functions). You'd think it'd be a universal feature for all drawing apps but it's not.

Was thinking about a Zelal magnetic vesa mount and a regular vesa arm, but most vesa arms look to be tuned for a heavier display so I wonder if it'd be too stiff to freely adjust.

Speaking as an owner of one, if you want a screenless tablet that's as good as the intuos pro L, then you aren't going to find anything better than the intuos pro L. The chinese screenless tablets are something like 90% as good for 20-30% of the price, but if you really care about that last 10% then there is no replacement. The replaceable surfaces are really nice too, I use a rough texture sheet and it's glorious to draw on, though it eats nibs like crazy.

For what it's worth I also have a kamvas 22 plus that I got for roughly the same price as the intuos and I end up using that a bit more often. Screened tablets beat the pants off of screenless ones every day of the week tbdesu, you can get used to the hand-eye disconnect, but drawing on a screen is just a bit more effortless in my opinion.

I ordered a v3 just to check it out and it came in the mail today. Initial impressions, I don't really like it. If you have carpal tunnel or are at significant risk of it it's probably good, but I don't draw all day every day so doubt I'm at much risk. The wrist opening is fucking small, so getting the glove on/off is a bit of a pain. I'm used to taking my glove off multiple times a day because it's a bit weird to type with it, and this wouldn't let me do that.
The velcro on the wrist strap is also pointlessly strong, and I feel like the loop side will get fuzzy/wear out pretty fast.
The small wrist opening should stretch a bit over time, but ultimately I'm probably just going to stick to my v2 (of which I ordered 2 more in case this company goes belly up from their shit ass lack of marketing skills)

Oh also I guess I ordered the last medium v3 anyway, so unless you're a supreme manlet (xs), fucking giant (xl), or subhuman (lefty) they don't have any in stock anyway.

Kamvas 24 2.5k is $675 msrp and easily the best in that price range.
Kamvas 24 4k is around $1300 msrp, but can be found for anywhere from $700-1100 2nd hand if you want to go that route.
If you insist on staying with wacom for some reason, I think the base model cintiq 16 is your only option buying new.
2nd hand you should be able to find a 24" 4k for I think right around $1000-1100.

I've got a problem with my XP-Pen innovator 16. When it is plugged in while my PC is booted, everything works fine. However when I unplug the USB-C cable and then replug it in(I have limited desk space so only leave it connected when using it) it seems to be only recognized as a monitor instead of a pen tablet. Aka I can display things on it but moving the pen over does not control the cursor.

CSP is great. Honestly prefer it over photoshop. It's more oriented towards drawing, while photoshop will always be primarily a photo manipulation tool that's also really good for drawing.

Because all the ones I could find on ebay are either possibly broken display models or quite expensive. Also it's kind of my grail. A shame I didn't know it existed sooner... Nice and large non-display I can set up on an incline over my desk. Screen tablets are just so cumbersome and they don't click with me at all, i've bought and sold a few already only to go back to a slab.

Nah I just calibrate by eye. Considering my display cost $400, it would be pretty retarded to drop like half that on a Calibration tool. Even if you have a $4000 cintiq, it's supposed to come precalibrated anyway so it's redundant.
You can also try to find a good iforgetwhatiscalled color profile thing from someone that did use a Calibration tool.

you pay monthly for the full version. It's that simple. You can use a trial version forever where you can't save files though, which I sometimes use and then just screencap and move over to procreate.
On desktop, you pay for the full version, but starting some time this year whenever version 2.0 releases, they're moving over to a split business model of either buying the full version 2.0 and getting no updates outside of necessary stability ones, or paying monthly for minor content updates throughout the year (ie: 2.1, 2.2, etc). If at any time your subscription lapses, your version would default back to 2.0, so even if you had been paying monthly for 9 months and were on version 2.7, your shit would downgrade back to 2.0 functionality.

surface pro is going to be the best all in one that can draw reasonably well. I drew with a surface pro 3 for years and it was serviceable, but not great. Supposedly they've gotten much better since though.
