What is the goal?
>To form a habit of drawing. The gains you make are dependent on you.

How long does it take until my account is approved?
>Between two to three weeks, usually when you reach level 3. Even unapproved submissions count toward your streak!

All you need is 30 mins of work per submission, for the dad.gallery website.
You can also choose more lenient intervals of frequency, if posting daily is impossible.

Posting in this thread is not required, but it's nice to keep it teeming with life.
Also, no one's gonna hunt you down if you just want to post here on /ic/, the important thing is drawing art daily.

why not change it so your submission timer has to be 30 minutes, why give the option for less time, i can only think of the case where you want to show off something you can do in less than 30, but make that a manual override selection since thats clearly the less common? yeah yeah banan no progrom

Tough the techniques that would fix your personalities permanently take too long to explain and apply, you can default to the Mind Trick, of which I should publish an article one of these days.

It's simple and it's something that everyone is familiar with, though nobody but me appears to have understood its nature.

Ever learned to ignore tickles? Stop shivering from cold? Stop sneezing?
It's all one single state of mind, and if you engage in it you're basically choking off some brain processes temporarily for so long as you maintain it.

Why am I mentioning this? Because another effect is that you cannot feel emotions in that state.

I tested many times, and I can guarantee it. If you also have the ability to trigger any emotion at will, you can also try and come to the same conclusion. They're mutually exclusive.
So whenever you start feeling panic attacks or other unnecessary feelings that lead to loss of control, you now know what to do.

does anyone else get the sense that they overthink things way too much?
Slowing down, looking at how others achieved the results I want and using reference is completely natural and idiotic not to do. And there's a voice in the back of my head telling me if I can't create such and such pose or prop from imagination I'm a failure and I scrap it. I assume all anons that are drawing better than me are somehow also doing so in a vacuum of their own imagination and are all gods compared to me. I dunno. I hope you're all well I love you.

Yea sometimes. Steven Zapata has good meditations on that stuff. Hearing him critique his own work, and pointing out the most important parts of his peices helped a lot. It took me awhile to realize that other artists are slow asf too.

thanks anons yeah, it seems as though when we create and when we practice we must have different mindsets. Quieten the mind, the doubts and so on when creating because you don't need voices telling you you're bad.
The entirety of human knowledge is now free on the internet. I can read the exact same passage of text from a Michael Hampton book for instance that told that artist I love how to draw that leg or whatever. And I can pause and look at it and use it.
It's always been the way that my best stuff came when I just moved on to the next thing, and focused on the idea. And how to attack that idea properly.
It's all just ideas. Ideas plus focus. That's it. Stop worrying so much about not being as good as someone else.
I still get that deep pit feeling in my chest sometimes when I see someone suddenly produce something amazing in contrast to what I had just shat out. That feeling is pathetic and I want it gone, it's not a growth mindset. I should be learning, using what everyone is doing well at. Grab a screenshot and study it right there on the spot.
