Yeah, draw the line you want then cut back into it with an eraser, diamon shape brush seems to work decent

you should photograph your traditional work in a well lit room or an area with plenty of natural light.
i don't know much about painting landscapes traditionally but i will say you should layer your brushstrokes more. the base of the trees needs a lot of work. making snow white may work on cloudy days in certain areas but in actuality it takes on different colors from its surroundings.

Idk there’s like a million sources. Some are irl paintings, one is the meme reference that is spammed here about cheek shading. Basically what I was doing on that before I got bored was every time I saved the progress I made the image a little smaller on the canvas. At one point one of the layers ended up being an infographic about Russian active measures.

Also La Strada is Italian and it’s an absurdist Fellini movie about a qt clown lady on a miserable adventure. Which is like what art production is idk get hosed on.

start with simple objects to get a handle on timing, everyone usually recommends the classic ball bounce, or maybe some weighted objects like a brick, a water balloon is a good exercise to get more organic forms too. Many people will point towards "The Animator's Survival kit" for fundies in animation, pretty good for starting off. Picrel is an old animation exercise I did using the water balloon

I know the feeling. Most of my stuff Is incomplete sketches. When I finally got into painting, what got me thru completing a piece was timing how long I could focus b4 putting down my pen. I'd then continuously try to then match or best that time. It helped me do 2h+ sessions consistently like nothing. Even though b4 I could barely muster up abt 30m.

Also build a lengthy playlist with music you only use when painting (preferably an entirely new genre) and associate those sounds strictly with working. It will spark a bit of motivatation even when u don't feel like drawing

That said, Ur piece is quite good despite ur shortcomings. Gorgeous stuff. Very ekiyo-e esque.

Infinite painter app on a note 20 ultra. I know they have it for tablets as well, not too sure about PC tho. I believe u can share brushes thru drive. Gotta check.
