I find AI to be great tool for references. If anything /ic/ trad artists and even fine art digi artists will be fine, it's illustrators and graphic designers on /gd/ that will be most affected career wise.

It's easy for AI to make images because it only requires memorization of patterns, it takes zero logical thinking and only process power, that's why it makes mistakes that don't make any sense for us, because we understand what we are seeing, while AI is just reproducing patterns through some algorigthm, it doesn't really know what those pixels are besides their tag.

Of course AI is not going to automate all programmers any time soon. People are still needed to think of the architecture and how to come to the solution, it will just replace the codemonkeys that write the small chunks of code the big senior dev orders them to write. People will lose jobs as there will be need for less programmers, but it wont be the end, because the moment we have AI that can code or solve any problem in computer science, then we basically have AGI, which when put into your average bitcoin miner will turn into ASI in matter of weeks.
