My waitlist almost never empty but i seems having so much trouble getting engagement on twitter.
My Le*dit post usually got a some updoots, like 500-1500 per art so it's not that bad, sometimes my pixiv got into ranking too. But holy shit getting engagement on twitter is literally almost impossible with me no matter how i play around with hastag, upload time, etc
Probably have someting to do with me going with full rendered illustration instead of pinups or sketches. but still.... i really wish i have like 5k followers so i have a good reason to rise my commercial fees

just take a look at your average Jap artist Twitter account and see how it works for them. they still post a tonne of their own art, balance it here and then with some occasional interesting things and go right back to making fucking art.
just make your Twitter actually interesting and a breath of fresh air. don't fucking be like every fucking ""artist"" with lots of "followers"" on Twitter and people might actually give a shit about the stuff you make.

I don't have any social media presence. Last time I did was in 2006 when I posted on deviantart. I quit deviantart because I got to caught up in the popularity contest and found that I lost part of my creativity because of it.
I still draw/paint every day. I'm actually afraid that when I start posting online, aside from the plagiarism-AI stealing my work, I'll get caught up in numbers like you.. that scares me. At this point I actually preffer doing this as a solitary activity.

Tldr: I'm not motivated by that shit at all and I'm constantly working on something.
