I got my Drawing BFA 8 years ago and shortly thereafter became a military officer. I love art and most artists, but I've been blissfully and dangerously ignorant of the reality of the actual art world for 8 years. All seemed fine and happy until last year, when I seriously considered the job prospects as an artist, and this year I completed an MA online. What I can tell you is: Yeah, in 2022 and beyond, artists are absolutely fucked.
