so ive been using this dinky wacom tablet for like 4 years now and i think i want to upgrade. i looked on amazon and saw these were decently priced tablets and the reviews online seem to say they're pretty good too. though i'm not sure how many video reviews i can trust since 90% of them are sponsored or had the company send them one to review.

all that background crap aside, for anybody who owns one do you recommend them? are they worth the investment? i guess i just need to assurance or warning before pulling the trigger

So I don't know if this is where I should be asking but my intuos isn't working properly. The pressure sensitivity isn't working and the buttons on the pen and tablet aren't working right. I've tried unplugging and plugging it back in, restarting the drivers in the services, even downloading the drivers again and still nothing. Any help would be great

Pick a non-screen one.You won't get any benefit from 1 to 1 hand to cursor movement with 3d, you'll be just covering your screen with your hand for no reason. Screenless is also more ergonomic, you won't be hunched over the screen all the time.

None really. Touch and wireless are completely useless features. You'll get the same drawing perfomance from both. Pick the size that is the closest to the size of your monitor.
The only thing I would consider is that Pro got usb-c port, while 4 got miniusb or something less popular nowadays. And you will need a good cable if you to replace the original one, otherwise you'll get interference and shaky cursor.
Also, pens have different nibs, which makes no real difference. You can use 4's pen with Pro, but you can't use Pro's pen with 4.

I was actually choosing between xp-pen 16tp and huion pro 16 2.5k and decided on the huion in the end. Because 16tp's screen is glossy and the pen got only one button for some reason. Touch feature is too clunky on windows, so it's useless. 4k at 16 inch screen size is just stupid. The screen itself a tiny bit bigger on 16 2,5k. And it's cheaper and works perfectly also, very happy with it so far.

How do I stop my huion from getting so hot it's atually painful to hold
I've been actually having an issue where my tablet stops picking up my pen at all until i shut it off and turn it back on but it only works sometimes now, I JUST bought a new cord and updated drivers but I still have this issue and now think it's actually an issue with my tablet itself starting to break down.
My tablet is on it's last legs, and I think because of how much it overheats its breaking my tablet itself and the inner circuits.

I wonder if you guys even seek out reviews that trash products. There are many reivews that trash the cheaper products displaying the tilt and rotation not working properly and I can confirm for myself - I have two Huions, that they have glaring problems (albeit, still perfectly usable). It seems that the Intuos lineup eats nibs in even a single session barring the Intuos 3 - making it easily the cheapest option while being wacom tech. Thus making it the best since it maintains high quality performance. It also checks out since people apparently still recommend and use Intuos 3 to this day. I don't know if One by Wacom eats nibs - but if it doesn't then it would take the Intuos 3's place as the cheapest. What OP said about Chinese Brands is true. You guys are simply compromising.

The One thing I don't get is OP's dislike of Wacom One though... It's 300 dunions right now. Seems like a solid cheap option. You guys say Wacom ONE bad because other tabs give better value for money but that can't be OP's reasoning since he hates cheap alternatives. So...idk; weird.

As a consumerist fag who can't keep his money in his card here's what I've got over the years:

Wacom Intuos 4 Medium - my first tablet, still using it from time to time. Got it refurbished from wacom's site when they used to sell DEMO tablets. It's been holding strong for the last 5 years.
Next up I've got a Samsung note 10.1 2014 edition, which I'm still using everyday, to shitpost, draw, fap and stuff, it's a large 10.1 wacom penabled tablet with pen having 1,024 pressure points, which feels amazing, the issue is the apps, only Sketchbook Pro and Infinite painter are apps I like.
The next thing I've got was Cintiq 13HD, which I'll soon resell as I find it too small to use with my desktop. Afterwards I'm planning to buy 22 or 24 Pro. Drawing on a cintiq is not comparable to drawing on the intuos. It's way more precise and feels natural.

The Apple Pencil is widely recognized as a great digital pen, but has some problems.
It's battery powered, whereas the Samsung S-Pen uses Wacom EMR, which means no batteries ever required. The iPad/Pencil has much better palm detection than the Samsung, which makes it much better optimized for finger gestures while working (which is one of the reasons procreate is so popular).

Galaxy tablet just happens to use EMR so it's less of an issue (which is awesome), but any AES tablet might have a little jitter.

Apples algorithms to reduce jitter on AES are still best in class and the product itself is a joy to use. It's not like the jitter can't be worked around, most people use some sort of stabilizer anyway. Even if you don't explicitly enable stabilization, the drivers that process the input (from both EMR and AES method) is doing some stabilization on it's own to fight against input noise. So you're kidding yourself if you're trying to say that you're doing straight lines without any help of stabilizers because they are often built into the firmware.

Source: am hardware engineer, i work on phones so i've only really dealt with touch digitizers, not stylus-specific digitizers
