I think you are missing the point by making it a aesthetic comparison. Colored Ink drawings are quicker to produce, therefore more suited for sequential art.

what do you mean colored ink, like water color with ink blacks, actual ink paintings, or filled in inked lines?

personally, I like paintings more, I don't really like the art people tend to make when they color inked line art, granted I have seen watercolors done that way and loved how it looked, but that's not really what you are talking about, I am assuming you are talking about making the art look 'like a sticker'
