yea until i get a pc ive just been sketching the pages, i tried screentoning a panel mangaka-esque on my phone and it took 5 hrs, didnt even finish the panel and knew i could only do the webcomic traditionally for now
my friends and i agreed that my sketches were well rendered enough to be their own thing for now though
but im basically gonna do pages, run them thru ibis or medibang or something just to put panel borders and speech bubbles

It was hard to tell what you were going for in some places but these are just suggestions not rules anyway.
First, the sideview of an eye is probably something you should look into (was he supposed to be looking at the viewer or ahead, not sure?).
Eyebrows need some foreshortening in profile.
As far as muscles, there wasn't any indication of the sternocleidomastoid. It's the most important muscle of the front/side of the neck to be aware of.
Your muscles are a bit bubbly and don't indicate underlying forms that strongly.
Lack of indication of the pollicis muscles of the forearm (doesn't need much but slightly bringing forward that part of the forearm is good).
The pectorals bump is a bit too high.
The triceps usually should form a flatter tendinous region on the back of the arm.
The anterior superior iliac spine of the pelvis is a very strong useful landmark to indicate.
The knuckles should curve a bit more.
Lastly, a couple extra lines around the tip of the dick can help to indicate it's form.

honestly i think you did well, especially on the body. i would work on the face though. idk what style you want for the head but i personally would make the ears bigger, and have the cranium more canine shaped.

It's easy for me to say that it should be clear he's looking at the viewer, I guess it's more conplicated than that...

I'm impressed of your knowledge of muscles, I need to study muscle composition more myself if I want to improve. I think the best suggestion of yours was foreshortening the eyebrows, they look way better that way. Thank you one more time!

Honestly I think the foundations are preeeeetty solid. Any improvements will mostly come with time and additional skill. I might be bias, because I have a softspot for that pose and expression. It's very cute, and I think you nailed it. Like the other anon said, she does look a bit like an otter though. In addition to his advice, I think the ears should be bigger as well. Try exaggerating them a bit. I also really like what you did with the fur transitions. Looks like a basic hard brush, but it's nice.

Honestly, in my case, it's a couple very simple things:
Boobs and girls are cool and fun to draw.
Clothes and backgrounds are fucking HARD to draw and paint, and I know I should get around to them more, but I don't wanna and you can't make me.

That said, while I don't have a problem with porn, I'm very much turned off by the hyper-sexual nature of most furries, so I get where you're coming from. It's just neverending kinks and horny and this and that. I just like to draw fanart and boobs, not necessarily for the sexual aspect, but like I said, just because I think they're pretty neat. And really, it's mostly the shape I like. There doesn't have to be nipples or anything. Just the fat sack is good.

thank you all very much for the crit! i probably put the least effort into the head initially and left it alone after i felt like the expression was reading well enough. that, and i've barely studied canines properly, let alone foxes.
stylistically, i want to keep it very animalistic while still getting clear human expressions and gender characteristics. it's a tough balance so i'll keep practicing
here's some studies based on the feedback, i think a few of these look a little more wolfy than i'd like though. i'll keep practicing and try to apply this to my fox grill when i'm not as sleep deprived lol.

I'm no feline expert, but that's what I noticed from pictures of tigers, versus the other big cats. Panthers, mountain lions seem to have smaller, narrower heads, and tigers seem to be the most unique cats with big broad faces. Very majestic cats.

i would suggest taking a look at the right(his left) calf though: if it's supposed to be foreshortened, i think it the transition from the calf muscle to the rest of the lower leg would be higher up and a bit more abrupt. if it's not foreshortened, then feels too wide in the middle. try looking for some reference photos of legs in that orientation if you can find them, or maybe a 3d model. good work so far anon, and pardon the poor explanation.

You bet. For reference I'm 25 and I've been super online since ~2006 or so, and while I was always into furry shit mostly just porn I only really started getting more into it art/fandom wise in the past ~3 years since it became less socially othering.

Back in the day furries were all seen as sparkledog furcon weirdos (and most of them were that, which is fine, but not my scene) so if you were """out""" as a furry that was more or less the only crowd that would have you. Otherwise, you were up there as one of the most reviled and outcasted freaks online when it came to forums like SA and old 4chan.

Once shit like Made in Abyss, Undertale, Beastars, BNA, etc. came around you saw a lot of people drop their pretenses around anthro. Anthro characters themselves are pretty universally lovable. Anthropomorphism is all over cartoons, childrens media, disney, video games, etc. All it took was enough shameless Japanese people getting into the industry to make it cool. (Just look at Arkknights and World Flipper and shit. And Tsukushi is especially shameless, talking about how good he thinks cute kemono must smell and discoloring the ears of his Nanachi plushies)

This one's the best out of them all, I think. I think your bodies and heads look good, but the arms and hand proportions need a bit of fine-tuning.

I think the other anon is kind of right in that her head might be straddling the line of a little too realistic, which I think you can mitigate by modifying her eyes and smoothing out her anatomy in general. But I don't think it looks too uncanny. At least, my first impression wasn't "Oh ew get it away from me" or anything. I still think she cute. Sometimes it's fine to have an animal head on a human body, as long as you incorporate some human expression, like you did with her smile there.

My first contribution.
This was my first attempt really feeling out her design. I'm still /beg/-tier, so this started with a gesture from a live model, and then added thickness.

This curvy clydesdale's figure is going to eventually resemble the Amazon from Dragon's Crown. A mare-mazon...

She's a big beast, standing over 7ft tall, and tipping the scales at over 300 lbs. I want to develop a strong contrast of a terrifying brute wrapped in a cloak enchanting femininity.

I think it might be that a decent amount of furries are fans of anime looking drawings compared to stuff that's more on point with being a blend of animals humanized.

It can usually be spotted with how many fingers or how the feet are shaped. Five fingers and plantigrade feet makes it essentially an anime character but with an animal head and finger pads.

I know how to do it. But you have to know alot of perspective and forms to get the shading in the right places. Then you have to learn about what kind of edges shadows will make, like for example how a cylinder will have a core shadow line that is perfect and unbending, no matter where or how you tilt the form in space. The other thing after knowing where the shadows go is that you need to know the the correct values. That part is a bitch, right now im only good on painting white/ light objects. Pic related is one of my studies from ctrl paint. I apply the same logic to my fully rendered stuff.

Id say reading his How to Draw book is a prerequisite, and good fucking luck reading that thing. I had to read 2 perspective books before that one to be ready for it.

This dude is full of shit. It's not this hyper complex thing. You need to understand the forms but it's basically 90% observation. Where does this form curve, where does the light hit. Look at references and see where shadows dither out vs hard line.

I recommend a low opacity airbrush at a large size, then carve out the forms where the light would be sharper.

I'm not good with anatomy either, but the only thing that I feel is off is how her thigh connects to her butt. I think the outer right side of her lower body should be more of a straight line, instead of a contour in between booty meat and thigh. That would make it look less like a ball and stick.
