I just got my first ever glasses due to my bad eyesight, and I have a question for any other glasses-wearing dweebs Anons.
Is there any downside to drawing while wearing glasses? It feels like wearing glasses slightly alters your perspective.

Not enough for it to be significant.

None that I've found.
If anything having glasses is an advantage!
Normies have to squint their eyes to get blurry images - it's a very useful technique when you're starting your drawing and want to capture the big picture, without worrying about details. And squinting for a long time is really uncomfortable.
But we, the glasschads, can simply take off our glasses to use this technique :)

Overly expensive in the long run, cringe smoothbrain choice.

Maybe if your frames are the size of drink coasters, otherwise, no. Wear your glasses in confidence and stop worrying about such silly things as that.

The only meaningful impact I've found is when I reference something on a second monitor I can warp things slightly..the degree I imagine would vary with prescription strength. It beats not seeing your lines as well

I've had 3 or 4 glasses throughout my life.
On the 4th one, I thought my prescription was wrong because I felt cross-eyed and that had never happened before, it lasted for 1~2 weeks.

But a lot of people have this issue on their first glasses, so bear in mind your vision is still adapting.

I don't think there is any change, you just forget you're wearing them.

I can only think of two slight differences:
- If you're doing plen-air painting and you have anti-UV, they will make your vision more yellow-tinted under strong sunlight, so your paintings might have too much blue;
- If you look at a light source like a lightpole or a headlight during night, it will become a multi-pronged star instead of a perfect sphere of light.
