Generals are cancer garbage and I wish they never became the standard. Great to segregate everyone into their own little echo-chambers and categorizing them by skill level. Not very conducive to learning and improving.

Interest sure, but skill, nor really, I've seen all kinds of levels at the courses I've been on.

I think the board would be more interesting if people had their own threads, though that'd run the risk of all traffic going to just one or two while the others die.

I think a step up would be to get rid of all skill based generals at least. /beg/ /int/ pro (if that's a thing) and just focus more on subjects of drawing. The goal being to get different skill levels to mix so they can gain from each other.

When /beg and /int merged together as one there was significantly less begs posting because there are better than them in the thread
A beg thread would encourage begs to post even a mixed skill would make begs hesitant to post
