A good majority of the manga industry is still rooted in traditional methods. The thing about most american comics nowadays is that they're all digitally coloured and rendered.
Something about manga being in black and white manga drawn on paper with maybe a FEW digital edits makes it feel more organic and artistic.

Alfonso Font is a beast.
My issues is that almost all modern comics feel "processed" and "on the screen". Even if you have nice pencils, its vomited over with all this digital shit.

I've experimented with some modified pen grips that are oriented towards whole-arm drawing, and ended up settling with one where the barrel of the pen rests between my index and middle fingers, and pinched near the tip by my index, middle, and thumb. It works pretty well since the pen just rests lightly in my hand and don't have to apply a lot of pressure to grip it.

I love Bisley's art and how he portrays hyper muscularity and exaggeration in his work. Nowadays its probably deemed as phobic in some bullshit way. This style of art sorely needs to make a comeback. Its a shame how underrated it is, really.
