Learn to demonstrate form better. I recommend the book "drawing lessons from the great masters".

If you feel your understanding of form isn't the issue, then you just gotta learn how to render properly. I think if you just used different brushes it would make a world of difference

>> No.6130725

thanks for your ressources everyone, even tho >>6130702 doesnt seem related as it's DRAWING and not painting

>>6130711
i found brushs very confusing to use, i downloaded a bunch but i do not use them except for chains, trees,or stains stuffs.. the round brush is more easy and less bloated

and indeed i have no idea how to render, even this is a sketch but i do not know how to push it further without making everything smooth and bland

>doesn't know that drawing is the foundation of painting
>doesn't know that if you can't draw 3D form you can't paint it either
aye yi yi
Your troubles go far beyond rendering, and far, FAR beyond choice of brush. This construction is, well... to be blunt, a monstrosity. The torso is one solid, fat, truncated, wedge shaped lump, the hips/thighs are grotesque balloons ungraciously stuck to the bottom of it like a pair of balls on a penis, and the arm is a cartoonish pipe with a perfect 90 degree bend stapled awkwardly to its corner.
That's what you're missing- construction. AKA construction drawing. Better get your nose in some Loomis, Vilppu, Hogarth, or Bridgman and get cracking, my nig.

your post is priceless lol, i thought the issue was the colors and rendering instead of the base of the artwork , i will be sure to make the fundation flawless before i paint at present , you taught me a valuable lesson today, please take care

Hey, thanks for having a good attitude about it. That'll take you far. Keep going like that and you're GMI.
Your colors and rendering aren't half bad, btw. With a solid underdrawing, it would look pretty good.
