i actually don't use pen pressure. i used to draw with my mouse so i'm used to building up line thickness manually with multiple strokes and anything else feels weird to me.

I'm a smoothbrain: What's the difference between the pen pressure curve on my tablet's settings and the one CSP uses? Does CSP use only its own, or do they both influence each other?

>> No.6119365

>>6119326
I may be wrong here

But I believe the tablet pen pressure literally checks the pressure on the nib - i.e. this is what you consider 0 pressure this is what you consider 100% pressure

the csp pressure is converging that to line thickness

I imagine they mess with each other so I tend to keep the default diagnol inside the tablet settings and change them as needed in csp

Still not quite sure about it but it seems to do the job.

>>6119481
Pressure curves are uniquely tied to hardware and how you hold the pen and how much pressure you typically put in when drawing. There isn't a correct answer. You have to play around with it until you find what feels right.

How do you find the Gaomon?

>How do you find the Gaomon?
Honestly it's pretty good but lately I've been getting paranoid thinking I can't draw lines correctly (or as good as I want them to). It feels like the pen doesn't go where I want to but it might just be me being inexperienced.

I've been looking into getting a graphic tablet but I'm scared of it being the same shit, wasting money and it just me being bad. But then again the Gaomon might be trash. I just don't know, I'm paranoid.

>it never seems to update when try to change it

I've been having problems lately with figuring out how to control line weight, sometimes at a certain angle the line weight can easily change and i can't figure out if its just i lack experience or its an issue with the hardware/software itself

make it so the weight of the pen alone is a good thickness already, and pressing it down slightly gives you a bigger size (for erasing)

You might be inadvertently applying more pressure at certain angles. Or your tablet might not register pressure correctly at certain angles.

You can work around this by always rotating your canvas and always doing the same line movement.

You can see the pressure curve as a black box: you give it an input and it gives you an output. Therefore is really easy understanding what's behind:

1) You give an input with your tablet;
2) Your input gets process by the first black box;
3) The output of the first black box is taken as input in the second black box if there is one (in this instance, CSP's curve).

To keep the result previdible, leave the first black box linear (diagonal).

As mentioned by >>6119376 you can reduce your curve of the first black box, to save both your wirst and tablet. You can even let it stay at 0 in the start to have a dead zone, just keep it diagonal. For instance, you can start your diagonal from 10% to 60% (total used 50%).

It has a price, though: sing 50% of the curve will halve the pressure sensitivity. Non a problem for very high pressure sensitivity values (you can't see the difference from 8192 and 4096).

I hope it's clear and informative
