Welcome to the OC Drawthread:

Draw someone's OC or post your own. All skill levels are welcome.

Rules:

1: Post a brief backstory if your OC has one.

2: Keep it fairly SFW. Lewds are fine but no explicit porn.

3: This is NOT a request thread, also posting your OC also isn't a guarantee that someone will draw your character/ exchange deliveries. Regardless, please consider exchanging drawings with your fellow anons as it's what keeps these threads going.

4: Character/ Lore Dumps are allowed, just be sure to specify that you're not posting with the expectation of getting deliveries. Don't dump ocs/ lore for multiple threads without providing any deliveries.

5: This draw thread is for ARTIST only. Do not post photoshopped images of others people's work, commissioned pieces, and/ or requests made by another artist if you cannot draw. Please go to various other draw threads for fills.

6: Be sure to thank Drawfrens for their hard work as soon as you can, it's just common courtesy :^)

Sorry if i havent done any deliveries, i've been busy with both college and the crab event so i dont even have time for personal art. I swear i'll do deliveries once im free, fortunaly im on summer vacation so i'm not as stressed. Anyways only personal art stuff i've done is change these dude's clothing and that's it. I wanted to lean more for a punkish/goth vibe with these three but it's more noticeable on Markus (he's the demon guy) lol. Pinterest does help in searching for clothing inspo.

Any good art yet or is the stereotype going to be proven correct about OC fags being mostly DA tier tumblrcore style? I can't help but get the message of fat positivity and diversity being our strength from the OP, it has your quintessential carnival freak, landwhale, ambiguous/androgynous twink, a shoehorned minority and a midget as the cherry on top.

one of my first OCs so far so forgive me if I don't have much info, but she's basically a native indigenous aboriginal fighter and healer shaman in training. when she's not fighting the government she's setting churches on fire. she looks after the elderly and children of her tribe and loves nature

I'm trying to (although with liberties) to group species together based on similar biome and predator/prey mindset.
Although the foxes don't actually eat the bunnies, eating sapient people is fucked up

So foxes and mustelids both live in the forest and are allies. Bunnies are allied with hamsters, and so on.
I'm thinking of making some reptile orcs (and small gecko goblins) today

I really like your style, it's very confident and lends well to action, but you really need to work on the sameface and costumes.
Just have a collection of a few face, eye, brow, nose, and mouth shapes and then mix and match them. The guy in blue is the most interesting I've seen, he's got a different face and isn't wearing just spandex with lines on it.

I like the moustache guy, he's got the most complete costume of the bunch, it has a location, a period, and a vibe. Even if it's a fantasy world it still tells us that it's probably a hot either desert or tropical climate, it harkens back to early 20th century and he has a gun of that time which plants it firmer in a similar time period, and he has symbols of an officer of some sort so we know his social standing. Very nice.

Redhead sword girl has a decent costume with the blue, the slate grey doesn't add anything though and the matching hair and clothes is fine but a bit too tone on tone. Her superhero suit isn't as good.
Overall it's harder to answer those question of place, time, and character with her. Look at real clothes and how they work to get a better eye for them.

Ps. Why does Snufkin have a sword?

Thanks, mustache is one of my favorites.

Darce (the redhead) goes through various costume changes trougought the story, in line with her character arc. The costumes are a reflection of the world they live in its sort of ruined and out of time.

Sometimes when I make a new character someone says they look like an existing niche character.

All valid criticism though thanks for the input, I'll be thinking on it.

Nice to seem him back. The panel where Sign slaps Kurene is very funny as well as the Kurene monkey expression. I like your flow and composition. I think you should stick to one style of speech bubble cause you sometimes switch from the balloon tool to hand drawn. Sticking to only one would be more consistent for a reading experience I think. Are you considering uploading on webtoon? I think Tapas has less traction than webtoon so uploading on both might give you more exposure and feedback.
