Waiting for critique can suck, sometimes I post something waiting for the critique but it takes time or doesn't get any critiques but by then I've lose interest on that thing I was working on and have moved on to something else.
Or sometimes I post for critique and keep working on it but by the time I get the critique I have finished with the piece and can no longer apply the advice.

hommie if you're self-taught then you need to learn how to rely on yourself for feedback. constantly judge what you do and what you can do better

if you feel like you're wasting your time drawing you will also never make it. if you want accurate useful critique that's niche to exactly what you're doing and not just generalized art knowledge then pay for a mentorship, and even then they will probably tell you very similar things. all the resources you could possibly need are here/cgpeers/youtube and despite that you still cry for feedback on one drawing from some low int randos - a drawing you hated making, at that. everything about this screams ngmi.

For me I just care if the stuff I draw is considered to be "good" and makes others happy. This goes case by case which is why I'm stressing so much about this single drawing.
