so far I offered him 100 usd per session, of about an hour with redlining and homeworks, he said sounds good, my current level is slightly away from beg, not total beg but still wonky art, unnapealing and filled with mistakes I just cant fix with "observing" and grinding, I cant speak for everyone but I just cant do it so I snapped and decided to take courage and ask him since we were talking about a commission we will do together, and he said yes lol

My primary concern is that this is what people charge when they have experience in teaching. You might be spinning your wheels with him and not really be getting much since a lot of artists have an artistic intuition that isn't always easy to share. But if you have extra money, it's certainly worth a try.
