I have reason to believe that Vilppu (specifically, Vilppu's Drawing Manual) is a much better resource than Loomis can and ever will be.

Show me how Loomis is better than Vilppu for a beginner.

Okay? Who said otherwise? Who are you directing this thread at?

vilppu is literally loomis' methods

/beg/inners focus autistically on various minutiae because they're idiotic, ignorant and opinionated

fuck off forever now thanks

come here little boy
lets show you the error in your thinking
you may have not been taught this in special education or maybe your were home schooled

if you tell people that "they are never going to make it" no matter what, what does that mean exactly?
not only that, but if we throw that around as if it is truth, what does it mean for you?
does this not mean that drawing is a magical ability that only a select few are able to attain?
if so, does this not mean that it requires no effort?

in saying that "you can never make it" it automatically implies that drawing is not a skill
if drawing is not a skill, then what is it?

drawing would be a natural and innate ability

THEREFORE

if you are any good at drawing, it required NO WORK, absolutely NO WORK for you to get good at drawing

and so, in that line of thinking, is what you do really any impressive at all?
if it requires no work at all, if all it took was reading through one single Loomis book for you to become a professional to become good, then does that not throw your precious drawing skill all over the floor and proves that drawing is not really difficult

drawing is therefore not respectable because it is not difficult
it is like being an attractive woman
people respect you because you are attractive and have a vagina

therefore, if we stand by your logic, people who are really good at drawing are basically like attractive women
they didn't have to work to get to where they are now
they use their beauty that they did not create to attain things that they do not deserve

are you happy with keeping your ideology or would you like to apply critical thinking this time?

unless you can explicitly state why, then i count all your comments as gaslighting and therefore spoken through ignorance which means they will be ignored

somehow i don't think you're even at the level where you should be learning head constructions

oh, i get it
you didn't get my terminology, that's what it was
i'm guessing 3rd grade was a little bit difficult for you but don't worry, i don't hold that against you
you're probably constantly thinking of suicide every single day you drag yourself out of bed so i could understand now why intricate deduction didn't seem to make it through to you

would you prefer that i dumb it down to 3rd grade terminology so you would be able to better understand it?

i apologize in advance.
i shouldn't have elevated myself way beyond your capability to grasp difficult concepts

They're complimentary
>Do vilppu to learn simple forms, gesture, feel the flow and all that
>After you're done with vilppu, do Loomis to simplify all that shit down into something that doesn't require you to outline every muscle in the body.
>Plus, setting up a scene, composition, lighting and all that,
>Do Hampton last to simplify muscle forms better.

Vilppu explains gesture, body forms and faces better.
>Vilppu:This mass is two circle forms overlapping. Now let's draw 30 fat women + old masters paintings analysis to drive the point home. Next class: Squares, then squares AND circles, then cylinders, basic procedure, THEN anatomy.
vs.
>Hampton: This is a T connection lol. Now you do 25 of these and send the 5 best for critique. Next class: the torso, then legs, then arms.
You'll end up doing it the Hampton way eventually, but if you barely know the work end of a pencil, it's better to start with Vilppu.
