I am 100% certain that OP put in considerable time & effort to promote & grow their Patreon over a long period of time. They likely saw very little growth at first but stuck with it, finding new ways to promote their Patreon, build community and focused heavily on acquiring new subs. Something a vast majority of you will never bother to do.

That's the thing that most of you failures on this board just can't accept. The art is secondary to one's effort in marketing & self promotion. A mediocre artist who is talented in self promotion will always win over a talented artist with mediocre self promotional skills. Financially speaking, being entrepreneurial as an artist is more useful than being fundamentally skilled. Getting better at drawing is not going to magically provide you money. Getting a large social media following is not going to magically provide you money.
