I have no art community. Stuck in my home country where the population is 100% alcoholic, passive-aggressive, asperger mongoloids, moped gangs, drug addicts, vandalism and anarchy as far as the eye can see. Plus 10 months a year of freezing cold, grime and misery capped by two months of somewhat cold, rainy misery.

All my friends who moved to Finland from places like Vietnam, India, UK, Usa, Australia, South America would beg to disagree. Most left very quickly and the remaining ones will leave when they plan to marry or have kids. They're all fully disillusioned.

The shit about "happiest country in the world" is nothing but marketing based on some autistic study ("high GDP and high school grades MUST mean happiness!!!"), and it works well because finns are catastrophically naive and believe that everything the government says is true.

Only art people aside from my best friend that I interact with irl is my local Urban sketchers chapter. Majority are chill boomers and everyone is really nice but since it’s all irl interaction, no one gives real constructive art critique and it’s more of a feel good hugbox. It’s kind of a shame because even though it’s just a hobby for everyone, they could be doing high level work with a little direction.
