Why is that? I either render with a standard style or try to draw with a classic comic-like style with hatching and black shading (since I also read a lot of european comics other than manga) and watercolor imitation brush. There seems to be a problem with both styles according for a few people: for the first one someone couldn't even understand if it is western or manga (he also said something among the lines of "reminds me of Twokinds"), for the second one a few people said my hatching looks like how Tumbrl artists draw hair and there hava been a few critiques even for the shading too. I am improving at a fast rate since I try to draw everyday but I want to make sure my art looks appealing too, can I fix this by just continuing drawing with a purpose?

Working with hypotheticals is impossible.
You need to discuss the piece directly to get valuable feedback, but that is a good CC, I threw the guy a follow.
If you have a hard time telling what is real valuable criticism /ic/ is a really bad place for you to be in.

I kinda have the feeling I am better at thinking everything quickly that focusing on the construction and take my time, when I do the latter most of the time I get shit like the Lucca above. This was from a Drawpile

I'm gonna be honest with you.
The lines are usually too thin - makes them look weird on lowres pics and hard to read.
Your grasp of perspective and anatomy is /beg/ at best
You have no understanding of color theory (or at least how to apply it in an appealing way)
You mix and match western and anime parts in your character design like crazy. On its own, it's not a bad thing, but you do it without taste.
There's no understanding of what makes an appealing form or gesture or face at all.
Your hatching doesn't match the lightning or form.

Basically, you're drawing while not understanding much of anything, and you haven't spent ages trying to copy your favorite artists to figure out what makes them appealing, and you lack standards and taste to see exactly why your artstyle sucks. On its own, it's actually doesn't suck, what sucks is your draftsmanship first, shading second..
Back to studying, my friend. Bootstrap yourself, return in a year.

Your work does have an eastern inspired western type feel, I don't mind it, and if that's what you enjoy drawing you should hone it and keep going.

I agree with you and would recommend more gesture practice. It will help with both your posing and making more confident linework.

i like this, i don't see what's weird about it. Doodly-style, but if people say it's weird try some line variation. as far as I see tho, you're on a good path
