How does Shinichi Sakamoto do his digital art?
I thought it would have just been a basic light amount of pressure on regular opacity brush 1 but that's not it. How did he get the art he used in Innocent?

He quite literally skips the part where he draws the characters in this video.

>> No.5080261

seems like most of it seems alrdy saved bodyparts, body-equipment, gadgets,e.g wich will get attached to the drawing, and shifted.
Also a lot of photos are used and manipulated with filters and so go on.

He's using Clip Studio Paint, isn't?
If I'm not wrong, he seems to be using a very thin G-Pen or Mapping Pen in a Monochrome Layer.
I say this because the G-Pen breaks down when thin strokes are drawn on a Monochrome Layer.

This is so cool. Thanks anon! When I try out some new software next year, I'll have to try these settings out. Maybe I can get a more organic look to some of my lineart.

I think these settings would only work on Clip Studio, since the monochrome mode already filters the pixels into a distinct B&W look.

Oh, thats fine. I've been using Photoshop and SAI for a while, and theyre not bad, but I wanted to try something new. As long as Clip Studio isnt too prohibitively expensive, I'd love to give it a spin.

I rebuilt it as well after finding that Wacom video. But why do so many of his strokes look grayish? Also, transparency doesn't really work in monochrome layers, does it? Gray / Color Layers seem to create something more similar to his pen.

What a stupid fucking question, you literally see him draw it in the video your image is a screencap from. All you're missing are his exactly brush settings, but all you need to do is mess around in CSP fiddling with settings and trying out brushes the way he draws and you can figure it out yourself.

>But why do so many of his strokes look grayish?
Because Sakamoto draws way zoomed-out (at 25%). The view basically synthesizes the black pixels into the gray strokes you see in the video but they're still solid black pixels.
It's just an illusion, similar to how manga tones are literally just hard black dots, but from a distance they look like tones of gray.

>transparency doesn't really work in monochrome layers, does it?
Yes it does.

>> No.5082319

>>5081968
The G-Pen on CSP is literally just a generic round brush with size based on pen pressure.
All of the default pens are slight variations of the G-Pen, with the G-Pen being a generic pen brush.

Most, if not all art programs have a generic hard round brush.

The "new series" is the Dracula one, yes. Obviously, Innocent is long done.
7 more years of frockcoats and corsets? I dont think the old team is sticking around for that, no. lol
