I know this thread is about the book but I'll throw in my question on perspective when drawing from reference image.

How do I draw this image where the vanishing point cant be found, where do I place the vanishing point?

It's good, goes to the point and explains well
You can look up "how to draw" by Scott Robertson if you want really in-depth advanced mechanical perspective shit but that book is autismo tier

It teaches you and helps you understand the bare-bones concepts but you should immediately follow up on it with either Erik Olson's Perspective series on NMA, Scott Robertson's book on Drawing and Sketching Environments From Your Imagination, or Marshall Vandruff's Perspective video series.

I would recommend you don't do them back to back, as learning precise perspective is a very strict, linear, and tedious experience.

I found it to be extremely lacking in information.
He glosses right over all of the basics and writes as if you already understand everything. Scott Robertson's book is far better.

The VP is outside of the image. So extend your canvas out past the drawing area.

There are two distinct "blocks" of houses, draw one using the regular VP tricks, and then eyeball the slanted one

He puts a lot of emphasis on extreme precision and sometimes overloads the reader with too much info at once. He turns drawing into a math lesson, basically.

It's extremely helpful but boring as hell to actually go through

David Chelsea's channel was the best way for me to 'get' perspective way more than books in under 4 minutes.
