Knowing the names of muscles and bones helps you be aware of them. The same works for colors, except color is a lot less intuitive to men.
I can't spot verdigris on these charts at a glance, but if I have a name for it I don't need to tell you to find the one that's kinda on the edge of green and blue, like teal but less saturated, the color of oxidized copper. Google verdigris and you'll know.

They're not consistent. It's like that business card scene from American Psycho, a lot of the names in these lists are some design company's selection with fancy names.
X11 and web color names are technical, some names derive from the pigments that were pretty much authoritative before synthetic pigments came along and so on. Ultramarine (figuratively) means "I had to sail to Turkey to get this".
