well they are in Japan, the pool is going to be mostly Japanese. I think you're missing the point that it's owned by a gaijin, they are working in the industry, and it seems to be accepted enough where local animators are applying for jobs at a gaijin shop ... but perhaps you're not familiar with Japanese work culture and think it's like America.

Why would I familiarize with the japanese suicide work culture? I’m not even the same anon you originally replied to, beside setting up an animation studio in a highly competitive industry where you’re expected to be paid peanuts its redundant, you’re better off setting up an animation studio in your own country.
For example my country has animation studios that animate shit for japs or westoids but at the same time we make our own animations and movies and the pay isn’t complete garbage. The biggest issue is that the government heavily tax the entertainment industry.

I agree with you though anon. It’s not that >>5008390 is a bad piece of artwork, it’s incredibly well rendered. That’s the issue with it for me, it’s TOO well rendered to the point of looking a little bit choked and overworked to me. That’s a matter of preference though, I prefer loose, sweeping brush strokes than tight and controlled.

That said I never got the Asian genes meme. They do have a good work ethic but overall I don’t have a preference either which way. Do prefer the variety in western art, I suppose.
