It’s better to keep it in one thread.
1) if your work is good, people will RT. If it’s for a specific fandom, they’ll RT even more. Make sure you don’t use too much hashtags (2 is ok, 3 is pushing it, and 4 or more will definitely get you an engagement nerf).
2) opposite of twitter, the more hashtags the better, as long as it’s less than around 25. If you’re using the same tags again you’ll get nerfed every subsequent time.

When people save your work on insta you get an engagement buff. The more you post stories the more engagement you will get.

For both, the more you engage other accounts the more engagement on your posts will increase. If you stick to a single fandom, your account will grow faster, but followers may leave when you start doing other shit.

That piece in particular took me roughly 3 weekends, and only the afternoons in between, with a day off to recharge here and there. So it's probably closer to 1.5-2 weeks' work if I hauled arse.

Sometimes it can be tedious, depending on the part I'm doing and how "rewarding" finishing that section is. I realised that a lot of my previous works suffered from trying to fill space with texture lines, rather than actual substance. Things like rocks, trees/leaves, etc. are just texture, and doesn't feel as rewarding to finish 'detailing'. So I made a conscious effort to change that in future works, spending more time in the planning stage and filling the composition with more diverse subjects to tell the story. That, and gathering more references than normal to learn new shit as I go.

I also jump around the image a lot. One day I'll tell myself "I'll try finish all the rocks/mountains today," then immediately knock out a set of buildings or characters in between. It's a way of tricking myself into not getting stuck too long. Pic related.

Do you care if someone you follow retweets a regularly but their retweets are only ever just art?
I made a separate art only account where I follow no one and retweet no one, only post my work.
I did this because I learned that people occassionally get randomly shown the tweets of people YOU follow even if you didn't retweet those posts. About 80% of people I follow are porn artists, a decent chunk of those posts loli(they are japs so they get away with it).
I once got recommended a couple fat slags and some twitter meme shit from artists I follow even though they didn't retweet it to me.
I'm kind of tired of managing a personal account and two art accounts(nsfw and sfw) so should I just delete the personal account I made and refollow everything on my sfw account? I see that some of the artists I follow that operate similarly to what I'm trying to do are hentaifiends like me after looking into who they follow but they make sure to keep it under wraps.
I don't care if someone goes snooping and sees a porn accounts in my followed list but puckered loli anus and gang rape is not something I want my name attached to when potential business associates pay attention to my page.
