You're never gonna make it, because once you make it, making it will be something else.

Start focusing on the process of making it and learn to enjoy that, or you'll be disappointed when the light at the end of the tunnel isn't what you thought it'd be.

i kind if recently made it by landing a gig at a illustration/animation agency. Although I studied graphic commuication and focused on my drawing stuff on the side. Its not like a position as a "concept artist" but my collagues are great and work is relatively fun when I get to illustrate something occasionally.
