Don't worry about taxes until you're earning significant amounts of money. The way it usually works is your declared income is compared to whichever companies/clients have filed hiring you as a business expense on their taxes. If the numbers check out within a certain margin (98% or something like that) everything is a-ok, otherwise they take a closer look to see if you didn't 'forget' to declare those 5k you got for doing that gig for the local bookstore.

Now with lewd commissions, it's almost never a business expense. People buy it for pleasure, thus it's income that doesn't make it on any tax declaration as a negative. This means the tax man doesn't get to know. So you should relax.

Let's not pretend it's all about skill
Getting commissions is about having an audience of potential/previous buyers that see you posting often and know how to reach you instantly
So post everywhere you can, as often as you can (with a schedule) and make it blatantly obvious you're open for commissions and have your handle on every post/image
Though yeah, if you're ultra/beg/ or have 0 appeal it's gonna be a tough sell
Don't give up, this is a stepping stone, not a sign of failure

If you need money fast, just draw a few balloon animals on furaffinity, it’s fast money in my experience, and it’s easy to draw. There is none. If you want to make any serious amount of money you need to be okay with dropping anonimity.

>>4953191

You can use paypal without verification until you make around 2k usd. After that your account will be locked until you provide government ID, matching phone number etc.

>>4953270

You can, and clients would and will do it. But if you do this is a matter of business or with any amount of regularity at all your account will be flagged and suspended. Paypal will consider this a vialation of their ToS and basically 'fee dodging'. Pay your paypal fees, write them off of your taxes, and you'll never have any issues with paypal.

I've been doing porn art fulltime since 2015 and outside a few minor issues here and there that were resolved with a phone call to customer support, I've never had any trouble with them. A lot of the paypal horror stories out there must be third world countries or people who fucked up somewhere and forgot to mention it.

You can actually make a business paypal account. You make the business name the same as your nickname. Then create a template where you omit your real name. The client will then be unable to see your real name in the invoice sent. But PayPal still knows your real name. Also, at least in my country, to have a business account with a business name, you need a bank account registered to the same business name, meaning you need the business to be a legal entity, meaning you need to report your income and what your services are, and pay taxes as a business, which is wholly unsustainable if you’re earning a couple hundred a month, and it’s unlikely you will start off with good income as a newly working artist.

>click "Continue" if you're upgrading your current account. If you're creating a new account, you must enter an email address to associate with the account. The email address must be different than the address you associate with your regular PayPal account. you gotta also create a password
>enter your pen name in the "Name to Appear on Your Customers' Payment Pages" field on the next page, and then answer the other questions about your business. You must also enter your real name, phone number and address.
>This means that this is the name that will appear to your custommers in the receipt and the transaction, this was made for writers in mind, but it works for internet artists as well.

No, you literally cannot have a business account tied to a personal bank account, it’s illegal. It may not be the case for your local/national laws, but is where I live. You’re either a physical entity or a legal entity, and if you’re a legal entity, any money the entity earns is owned by the legal entity and needs to be transferred to your physical entity before you can spend it as such, and the entities are taxed differently, etc.
tl;dr: in order for me to have a business account, I must register a legal entity (ie a business), open a bank account as the legal entity, pay taxes as the entity, then either spend the money earned as the entity, meticulously writing off expenses and buying property as the actual legal entity, or pay myself as the employee of the legal entity and then be free to spend the money for personal use. Pretty sure I’d need to pay my physical entity taxes on top of the legal entity too, I don’t remember anymore.
>5k
Right, but only as a physical entity, as a legal entity you pay flat taxes to a certain income, which is low for an actual business, but murder if you’re making 500 dollars a month, and as I said, you need to be a legal entity to open a bank account not tied tom your name, which is a prerequisite for a business account.

None of this is an issue if you’re doing normal stuff, but if you need to hide your identity because of porn, you’re fucked
