I get to make art without being a starving artist, which was the biggest reason I didn't pursue art school. That plus tradeschool was $4k so I have no life long debt to pay off. Dog grooming is great for earning upper middle class money in easy mode if you are talented in art in anyway and have more willpower than a dog. You're pretty much just making a 3d sculpture out of hair. You use your art skills but competition isn't anywhere close to as fierce as the art industry. Competition is actually rare since it is a rare trade skill that gives you work even in the worst economies. Of course 60% of Americans own a dog so it is probably different in other countries.

I got back into art recently because I have multiple book ideas I'm turning into comic books that I consider my life's work. I realized my talent degraded hard after years of not drawing so I came here for motivation. I hope to leave my books behind as something remembered after I am gone. I'm not saying Jack shit about plot, but I plan to share a link to one or all here, once I "make it"

Pic related is a bitey shit head named Honey

Could you explain what exactly you do. Sell paintings? Comissions?
