Honestly, it comes down to if you have good ideas. Maybe 3 weeks ago I suddenly had this urge to draw my weird fetishes. I sat down for hours on each of them. Just brute force get that shit on paper. I made a pixiv. Had 100 followers in a week. I used the right hash tags.

If you're just gonna draw life... Cute girls... Or big tits or something there is already a ton available out there already ten you gotta be a really good artist. It'll take at least a year for you to get good at figure drawing if you're really talented. Almost nobody is gonna be able to do that. And that's without ever having fun with drawings and without learning anime or developing a style or anything like that. You're looking at a few years so my advice is so both. Be as weird and honest as possible on the paper to grow a base, stick with it and work your hardest to improve. It's the only way. Just don't cap out like xxxx52 or yang or artists like that who haven't improved in 10 years.

Eh, I've been looking at coomer stuff since it started really budding. Lots of artists came and went over the years and yet there's always some new artist popping up that gets at least mildly popular. Some get wildly popular.
You're really underestimating how much a moderately unique style will do for you.
Sure you could get the same artist to draw you shitting dicknipples, but eventually you will want another artist with a different style to draw them for you. And while there is a lot of generalized overlap as well as clone-artists, most styles are at least somewhat unique.

And the shapes you might use for the leg are completely different from what a pro mangaka might. And the color choice varies from that mangaka to his fellow artists. There's also the factor that an artist becoming popular generally tends to drive up commission prices. See: JoiXXX. Sparrow too, but his prices are almost entirely popularity driven because most of his art is pretty low-effort in terms of execution.
So when new artists pop up with similar appeal but lower prices, people flock to that until the same happens to them. (See: DeathMask) A popular artist will either dramatically up their commission prices or switch to Patreon fulltime and do essentially personal work with minimal input other than maybe basic genres.

I started copying weebshit but have since tried to go my own way with my style, but you can still tell how it started out.

Id focus one at a time and learn them properly but I dont think it would hurt to break it up into even chunks of each every day if you get bored of sticking to one topic. I’d go perspective, construction, anatomy, shading/rendering/colour etc. Can’t construct properly without perspective, anatomy and gesture will go together and by the time you’ve got that down you’ll be able to draw characters and objects in environments at which point its worth going in depth with rendering, otherwise you’d just be polishing crap.

I’m not saying autistically only do one at a time for a year each, you should overlap subjects all the time, but I mean as far as conscious studying and courses etc. Don’t set yourself time limits, do it till you get it. I like Marshall’s course for perspective, fairly short and breaks it down well. Slightly dated in certain techniques but all the information translates to modern anyway. Perspective itself hasn’t changed. Worth a watch if you’re clicking with his Bridgman course. It’s only like 10 hours or something
