The key to head drawing

I wouldn't use it for CONSTRUCTING heads, that's not really it's purpose, but for understanding the planes of the face (obviously) it's a great study tool (and a good reference if you stick it in similar lighting to what you are trying to do).

How often should you sketch the Asaro head before you start to see more intuitive understanding of the head in your head drawings?

Gata do it from memory.

Doesn't matter how many times you "copy it" from reference.

Set aside like 1hour or someting to draw it from memory, in as many angles as possible.

Don't you have to copy it to put it into your memory though?

Observe it for a while. Draw it from reference. Test from memory. Note errors, observe and study. Draw from reference. Test from memory again.
Repeat until you can draw it from memory.

you dont even know. The asaro head is what got me to actually understand heads, and i base every face i draw off of it. I improved overnight by just doing a handful of studies
