i use vilppu's renaissance head method where he draws an oval, cuts it in half with an ellipse, elevates a brow line over it then uses that to establish the thirds, then he uses the brow to basically ghost in the orbit of the skull and then places his eyeball in that

I google a picture of a head from the angle that I want, trace positions and sizes of facial features and then draw on top my own face.

Sure! It's a bit old, but I haven't drawn any human heads in a while. I think I used john asaro planes of the head as a reference in this case.
