I’m a 27 year old American Otaku (Anime fan for you gaijins). I draw Anime and Manga on my tablet, and spend my days perfecting my art and playing superior Japanese games. (Disgaea, Final Fantasy, Persona series)

I train with my Katana every day, this superior weapon can cut clean through steel because it is folded over a thousand times, and is vastly superior to any other weapon on earth. I earned my sword license two years ago, and I have been getting better every day.

I speak Japanese fluently, both Kanji and the Osaka dialect, and I write fluently as well. I know everything about Japanese history and their bushido code, which I follow 100%

When I get my Japanese visa, I am moving to Tokyo to attend a prestigious High School to learn more about their magnificent culture. I hope I can become an animator for Studio Ghibli or a game designer!

I own several kimonos, which I wear around town. I want to get used to wearing them before I move to Japan, so I can fit in easier. I bow to my elders and seniors and speak Japanese as often as I can, but rarely does anyone manage to respond.

My problem with tumblr art is that is always goes balls in with the ugly to the point of parody instead of cherry picking a feature to two change up to make the character look distinct. it's never just a big eyebrow, or a fat nose, square jaw, or they are 200lbs overweight, it's bad skin, AND big fucking ears, AND fat round face, AND their knees are ashy, AND their clothes doesn't fucking fit, AND you could smell their breath through the screen, AND drew all this to shit to punch the patriarchy in the dick something equally retarded, and the result is unsightly, unbalance, yet completely boring art that people give you pity clout for rather than enjoying when in the reality you can do bought and still create something appealing. I don't come across it anymore as I stopped using tumblr in circa 17 and avoid western artists like the plague because they refusing to shut the fuck about about politics, but for a time I did with a bit of frequency as I was passively interested in the pastel flowery galaxy aesthetic for a long time. As for OPs art, I actually don't find it to be repugnant because it's not giving me any vibes that it's cartoonist ugly for the sake of being cartoonishly ugly. The characters are even well dressed, which balances nicely with the fact that they aren't attractive something tumblrfags often overlook and futher made there art boring and even more unsightly. Grazi anonazi for pointing me in the direction which I must go, I don’t think my anatomy is actually too bad since I was mostly copying what I saw (though I did inject a few small changes for ease) but I sometimes have issues with the calves or getting the arms to attach properly. Faces do fuck me up the most, I’ve gotten them to look appealing a few times but it’s a hit or a miss since it’s so easy to fuck up, I’ll definitely need to take loomis heads and portrait practice more seriously.

Leaving the critique aside, I know in my heart I’m destined for great things. Sex, money, companionship... I truly don’t even want these things just for the sake of it. Rather, reaching my goals, satisfying my ego... that is my true path.

There is not much improvement, but I am happy with where I am now than I was earlier this year. I'm ashamed to admit that I couldn't draw all of July because I injured my arm from grinding. I've been drawing more with my shoulders, but my forearm still hurts if I draw for more than 30 minutes.

That info is irrelevant, most of beg art is done fast while you improve you learn to take more time in the pieces you think have potential, while you also improve in the speed of good looking prototypes/ sketches,. Always assume people in here are using references one way or another ( for the hair, the clothes, the location , characters, etc) you can easily evaluate the progress without all that info you are asking for, there's a bunch of people in here that have absolutely not improved at all, while there's a few who have.
