As beginners, how did you guys keep yourself interested? I started two months ago and I've only been (slowly) grinding textbook fundies in that time, but the process is dry and tasteless, and lately I'm feeling like I have to force myself to get my daily practice in. Sometimes while I'm doing a study I get so bored in the middle of it that I just give up on the details and leave it unfinished.
I only want to treat drawing as a hobby, but I still do want to get good eventually. I'm just finding it so hard to enjoy myself these past few days, but it's way too soon to be thinking of giving up when I haven't even TRIED to draw the things I want to.

just draw what you really want to draw anon. A big part of learning is making listakes and having some fun.

Take drawing slow as you can and don't burn out. Create goals so you don't mindlessly scribble. As a matter of fact CREATE A FUCKING PROJECT ANON FUCKING DO IT YOU PUSSY. Also do some fun shit every time you draw. Once you realise you suck when doing your fun shit you will get a desire to improve again. So when you grind your fundies/studies whatever the fuck it is it's not boring.
Take my advice or leave it i'm a beginner too so i'm sharing my insights on the process since im going through it.
No i'm not gonna post my work lmao suck my dick you beautiful hunk of ass ily

I want to draw cute and sexy anime girls like every other retard here, but I'm still going through the complete beginner stage of drawing boxes and ellipses.

lol.
all you need to do is draw from life while breaking down your subject into forms you personally can comprehend and replicate and then you take what you learn from those sessions and add them to your repertoire until you develop your own construction method that you can apply them to your garbage coom "art". the subjects you study should probably be coomshit since that's what you'll be making.
Draw a box is a meme and a colossal waste of time and energy.

/beg/ here. Ever since i started putting shitty dubbed anime on in bg (shit i wanted to watch but has been in my backlog for ages) and dividing my time between studies and free hand for fun I've been doing 5-8hr days easy. You should give it a try.

I started drawing tattoo flash because it was relatively easy and fun. The only issue is if you go too far everything you draw will just look like a tattoo.

Doodling in your spare time and stop trying to study your way to success. Don't focus on getting good, focus on enjoying the process. If you find that you dont actually like art, just quit. At the end of the day its a hobby for 90% of people, and a career for the other 10%, just draw what you like and dont compare yourself too much. You're probably never gonna be good anyway.

No wonder youre bored. Art study doesnt have to be a dry repetitive workout regimen. I agree with other anon just copy coom shit or any art you like over and over and you will improve faster and enjoy it more. Some people still view copying as cheating but its the most powerful learning tool

He was talking about draw a box not perspective in general. In my opinion op is better of learning perspective made easy first instead of draw a box's painful killing regime.
Op just fucking do this >>4763601
and you will enjoy art while getting those gains.
