This is how i also hold it. It's the redpilled way because you force yourself to press the pen lightly while also using your shoulder for movement. You might also need to incline your canvas to 45°. But warning: this pose is not universal, the tripod grip is so much better when drawing eye details for example, or when strenghtening lines.
