I think you could push the values more. Lighter values in the background for atmospheric perspective, and darker values on the character. Here's a very rough example.

Dramatic lighting is dramatic, but sometimes, you just shouldn't - or modify it with other light sources so the focal point isn't so deep in shadow, and creating a visual black hole in the middle of the panel.

figure a way out to cast the light onto his face. The guy that turned everything dark has a rightish idea. I think you should make his abdomen area darker along with his inner thighs. . . just not as dark as he made it. Every time I open the picture my eyes are immediately drawn to the top of his hair.

The left forearm grasping the sword handle is too long and you should see more of the thumb palm side of the hand from this angle.

The sword shouldn't be facing the viewer at a profile front view as well. Try turning it a little bit to the right (character's left).

the right hand needs work and the design of the right fore arm as well - it's two wide from the base.

Everything else looks alright.

You can refine your outlines and this will look good as a finished piece.
